It was ok, an off-night

Had an ok time here but was not very crowded. Perhaps an off-night and I should check it out another day.

Went there on a Thursday and the DJ was good, the bouncer were both very nice but once we went to the bar there was a bartender that was very rude and completely ignored us for 20 minutes, she served other people shots while when we wanted shots she said that she only serves beer; she said that she served... Went on a Sunday and the DJ was excellent if you're into trap-style hiphop. Decent priced drinks too ($5 jaeger bombs!) . Also, im not sure if it was just because we were Asian but they let us bypass the line outside which was very nice of the bouncer (but I can see how people of other backgrounds would be... More

I visit Tokyo Bar every time I am in Montreal. They have really cheap prices for bottles and the place is very chill, not pretentious at all.. The bouncers need a reality check but its like that almost everywhere. The music is good.. The place is quite small but gives a nice feel. I have recommended this place to a... More

Came here with my buddies during our bachelor party weekend. We came early so we managed to get a great spot on the patio. Drinks were very reasonable and due to the time, we got to have some very intellectual conversations while enjoying the music/vibe/atmosphere. However, a little later on, it got busy. We hit the dance floor, danced with... More

A below average club in Montreal. $10 cover, which is normal for a club, drink prices were average as well. The problem was the venue is very small, it got quite packed and there was very little room to move. Long wait times at the bar. DJ was nothing special either. One positive is they have a nice rooftop patio.... More

I feel like this place should owe me points. The DJ was horrible did not have a great selection. The DJ played warm-up music and nothing to get the crowd hyped up. We were there at 12 o'clock and the DJ did not know what to do with the crowd. By 12 o'clock there was 40 people in the club... More

We came here based on the recommendation of our waiter at a restaurant. We are from Toronto, in our mid-late 20s, and were looking for a club/lounge with an older scene - in Toronto, we wouldn't have a problem finding a place, but apparently, in Montreal, you do (most, if not, all the clubs have only people in their early... Love the vibe here, they play a little bit of everything and some old tracks. drinks are decently priced and sometimes they do have deals on beers as well. The location is great, the best thing about it is the line up outside moves quickly and if it doesn't you can always move to another club and come back because... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
