Mile-End is a quaint yet contemporary quarter teaming with multiculturalism and filled with cafés, bars, restaurants, specialty grocery shops, boutiques, galleries, hot yoga spots, great bakeries and Montreal-style bagels served fresh and hot. Many of its residents are eco-friendly and artistic -- in summer, it is not unusual to see guitarists strumming a tune.

Food tours are a great way to sample food, culture and history. The Montreal Mile End Food tour with Sebastian was no exception. Sebastian led us to six food stops and many history/story stops. He was very generous with suggestions (not just food) for other parts...More

We enjoyed hearing the history of the Mile End area. The Falafels at green panther were excellent and the chocolate and bagels shops were top notch. We would recommend this tour to anyone

Artsy without being pretentious. We love the murals, the restaurants and the vibe of this neighborhood. We especially love the Cat Cafe on Duluth :-)

Darren made this 3 hour walking tour unforgettable! He connected with everyone in our group and took special care with those of us with food allergies. Now about the food...big portions and delicious. This is locally sourced and crafted food...time for a nap!

I love that neighborhood. You have great restaurants, great activities, you can walk to do the groceries, buy the best bagels either on St-Viateur or on Fairmount. You can walk to the mountain, to Laurier street... People that live there are just lucky!

This part of Montreal has changed so much over the last few years. It became very trendy with some very good bistros and cute little shops. Very young crowd.

This is a small noisy Portuguese restaurant. We ordered the half chicken with salad and their thin crispy potatoes. Absolutely delicious. All for $25 with 2 soft drinks and 1 tart for dessert. Our friends had the dark meat chicken with the same potatoes and...More
