During the day, we visited 3 excellant vineyards. We tested mainly ice wine. They were very good. Since I'm from here, it's always good to know that we can find products that have such a good quality. A lunch type local sugar shack meal was offered. It could have been better with more stuff like marinated cucumbers, ognons and homemade... More

We never had a issue with the guides they spoke english and french. Remember that french is their main language so it's easier for them to talk more in french and it's natural so don't take it to heart. They did their best to make everyone comfortable and make sure everyone is taken care of. You learn a lot about... More

I don't often go on tours, and when I do, I don't often enjoy them, but the Kava Ice Wine Tour was great! I learned a lot about the still-young wine and cider industries in Quebec, tasted some delicious wine and cider, and had a good lunch. The tour was very well-organized and well-run, yet I never felt I was... More

When I signed up for this tour, I was under the impression that the tour would be entirely in English. I was mistaken. When we went on the tour, we were the minority. The rest of the group, 5 other people, were from the Quebec area. They all spoke French, including our guide, most of the time, especially when they... More

Our lovely guide, Gaelle, cheerfully made a rainy afternoon excursion lots of fun. We visited one larger winery where we were offered wine and cheese pairings with five different wines to taste. That was followed by a visit to a smaller family winery, with our tasting hosted by the owners themselves. Although the rain kept us inside, we could see... More

If you enjoy wine and getting to know the locals, this is for you! The vineyards we went to were wonderful - owners were especially kind and informative. Wines were great. The shuttle the company uses, however, is a SUPER bumpy ride. They need new shocks! So be prepared to be in a car for long stretches on a very... More

We booked the 1/2 day wine tour and were pleasantly surprised by the small group experience. The driver/guide was very friendly, knowledgeable of the region and there was no rush like in many other tours we have taken. We would highly recommend this tour.

We booked our wine tour online for the next day. Management needed some clarification for our reservation and had very good communication. We met the toe at InfoTouriste in Bromont, just down the road from our hotel. We visited three vineyards, each with unique characteristics and very little repeat in information. Our tour guide Nicolas was friendly, engaging and knowledgeable... More

I booked Kava Tour directly through their website for a full day with a friend. We had no expectation prior to the tour and we were very amazed by the quality of the wineries and our guide, Nicolas, was very funny and professional. Even though it was a rainy day, Nicolas managed to give us a very interesting tour. We... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
