My mom and I went on a wine tour in the French lower countryside about 1.5 hours outside of Montreal. Our guide was Jean-Philip and he was great! Super knowledgeable and friendly. He picked us up in downtown Montreal and we visited three vineyards. Highly recommend this your and Jean-Philip!!

This wine really embraces all what the Quebec region has to offer. The tour includes expert information on the region and wines. Excellent wine and food is offered throughout the day. I highly recommend this tour.

Did the full day wine tour. Pierre was a really gracious and funny tour guide. You get to go to three wineries and you do get to drink quite a bit. The drive is only about an hour from Montreal. The only thing I would complain about is the tour bus it self. The suspension sucked and it will make... More

Jean-Philippe was a very enthusiastic tour guide who made lot of effort to entertain and inform the group (c. 15 people, so larger than I had thought it would be). The first vineyard we visited was beautifaul and the winetasting was great. The owner was clearly passionate about the estate and knowledgeable about wine and this made the visit even... More

My mother and I took the half-day wine tour. Our tour guide Gale was very up-beat, energetic, and knowledgeable. She was able to accommodate English, French, and Spanish-speakers. The 45min drive out to the first winery allowed us to see the surrounding hills and apple orchards. Both wineries gave a small tour outside to see some of the vines and... More

My husband and I took the half day wine tour. The meeting spot was easy to find and conveniently located in the city. Upon arrival our guide took everyone's name and we hopped in a small bus to begin the trio to the vineyards. The guide was wonderfully energetic, patient, and knowledgeable. During the drive out she provided some basic... More

I really enjoyed the full day wine tasting. Our tour guide Pierre Etienne was great and very informative. The food was good but maybe not the most filling meal.As some previous reviewers have mentioned, the trip can get boring at times because everything has to be translated both in English and in French, but I'm not sure how that could... Overall I liked this tour. We went to 3 wineries and got to experience ciders and wines. All the tours at each winery were Good. The lunch wasn't very good. It was meat, cheese, bread, and couscous. The tour was very long over 9hrs including travel (which is only one hour each way with stops). We got back to the... More

My husband and I visit a lot of wineries and we really enjoyed learning about the challenges of growing grapes and the interesting ways that the wine makers are learning to make wine in Quebec. The wine has a different taste - but is good. The scenery was beautiful. Our tour guide was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Our group tour... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
