This elevated area offers panoramic views of Old Quebec and the St. Lawrence River. Winter adrenalin junkies line up by the thousands at Les Glissades de la Terrasse to experience the rush of zooming downhill from 270 feet high (82 meters) in a toboggan speeding up to 60 mph (90 kilometers per hour) to the bottom 500 feet (152 meters) away. Located on the Dufferin Terrace overlooking the St. Lawrence River behind Fairmont Le Château Frontenac, the ride is open from mid-December through late March.

If you want to experience the next best thing to actually being in Europe.... go to Quebec City! It is an amazing site, and cannot be reproduced anywhere else in North America! Whenever I have the need to be in Europe, but can't afford the trans-atlantic fare, Quebec City is the answer!

Great place to have a walk while having some of the best views of the city and the citadel. The sunset from here is wonderful.

The Terrasse Dufferin is a pedestrian walkway located on the edge of Old Town overlooking Lower Town. You get a very good view of the St Lawrence River and the old port. Hope this helps.

A must do walk along the bluffs overlooking the St. Lawrence River. If you take the entire walk through to the Citadel, be aware that there are over 300 steps as you climb your way to the top

I was there during Carnaval and I got to ride the beautiful ice slide!!! one of my bucket list! Just make sure you go at night, it can get very busy. Make sure you buy ticket before you climb to the top!!!!

Sitting here to watch the sunset became an evening routine for us. During the day it can be a little over crowded. Highly suggest walking from one end all the way up the stairs and into the plains of Abraham.

Such an iconic part of the city that it seems almost like a necessity to go there if you're going to be in Quebec City. I managed to get some solid photos of Chateau Frontenac from the Terrasse. Pretty breathtaking. I must say, it does get pretty windy so make sure you dress accordingly.
