Was in desperate need of a restroom and relief from the heat, and thought to venture in... to my surprise (I was not into military stuff) I found the displays very interesting! I wandered around the area. Friendly staff (volunteers?) were on hand for questions. Definitely worth a visit.

A great place to walk through! We found by accident on our way home. Interesting artillery displayed.

One of the first things we did when we visited Quebec City was to take the guided walking tour led by a Canada Parks Guide. We bought Park passes that allowed us to take the free tour (You are given a sticker to place on your clothing that serves as a pass). While we waited for the next tour, we... More

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our tour here with Thomas! He kept the kids' interest the whole time (my kids are 12, 14, & 16). We learned so much and had fun doing it! Anything that keeps my kids interested in history is a great thing. I would definitely recommend taking the time for this tour. The musket firing outside was... More

The staff at the fortifications at Artillery park bring this site to life and were great with my boys, who spent much more time here than I anticipated. The staff made a huge difference. They were dressed in costume throughout the site and were very informative in a way that made the boys linger rather than race through. They loved... More

Be sure and take the tour which is included in the admission price. The young tour guide made it interesting and was well versed in the history of the place. Then visit the museum in the building where the tour began.

The barracks have been restored to the early 1800s decor and furniture. Guides in period attire and role playing, describe the life and times of early Quebec.

My husband had a fantastic visit to this site. We arrived to see a long line up. One of the staff, Antoine, came up to us to check in with us while waiting and he quickly gave us entry after showing our discovery pass. He gave us an informative introduction of the site in a personal way. He checked in... More

We did this tour on our first day. My brother wanted to watch the musket demonstration and we decided to do the tour after. The tour was so cheap like less than $5 per person. I wish I remembered our tour guide's name because she was so friendly and informative. To be honest I have no idea how long the... More

After spending $12 - $18 per museum visit this little gem (at $5.00) seemed like a real treat. Perhaps not as extensive as the Place Royal (Champlain) or Civilization museums but equally intriguing with plenty of photo ops. It has a room filled with mannequins that show soldiers/people back in the 19th century.
