You have to visit here and just plan an afternoon here, stunning views, the one place you must stop if you are in Tahoe. Plan a picnic and day to just chill and walk around, requires a bit of hiking but so worth it.

Smallest parking lot on Lake Tahoe! Too few spaces for the hords of people who want to visit. Get there before 0800 for a peaceful hike. $10 on the honor system if you come before Memorial Day. Because no one visits state parks in California...More

So I've never been here before, thinking about a summer vacation here in July. I'm thinking of renting a spot for a week and just hanging out, is there more to do other than visit what appears to be a beautiful site?

There is plenty to do at Tahoe! Emerald Bay is my favorite part of the lake, and there are plenty of fantastic hikes you can do in that area. Eagle Lake, Cascade Falls, and Vikingsholm are my 3 favorite moderate hikes... More

So, from what I've been reading. You pay a fee to get into the park, then you pay AGAIN to park?
