Went here with my wife for a hike. Beautiful scenery and a beautiful drive to this location. My only complaints are the areas were closed for the season so parking and hiking options were very limited.

Breathtaking views and wonderful hikes. Best time to visit is in the winter (early December – March) with less busy. Check the weather conditions before you plan a visit because of ice and the road are slippery due to snow. Parking spaces are limited so...More

The drive from our cabin to Homewood resort took us through the park and it was absolutely breathtaking. Coming from Ohio, I had never seen anything so not flat and beautiful. If the weather is nice I highly recommend stopping and exploring and taking some...More

Ughhhhh!!!! So disappointing. There were MANY cars pulled over at a look out area over beautiful Emerald Bay. We were among the lucky ones who received a parking ticket for parking on the side of the road. We were away from our car, for 10...More

We went during the off-season, so it wasn’t too bad. I do understand how this could be a traffic nightmare during peak times, as there is not much parking. If you can make it, I’d say it’s definitely worth your time.

This spot is gorgeous! Some trails to explore and great view. Although I went on Christmas Eve and it was very cloudy! But it was still really nice! MY husband enjoyed using the selfie stick to get the best view. Not far from Heavenly Village,...More

We drove around the lake and couldn’t find a place to park to get to the park! Over 100 cars on both sides of the road taking up to 1/2 of the two lane road. Finally police came and started towing vehicles. Pretty view just...More

I walked down to Emerald Bay in May and, after an epic winter of record snowfall, found that most of the beach was underwater. The views and the water were lovely though, and I went down early enough to beat the crowds. I walked around...More

It is about a mile each way, but the slope is manageable if you take your time. The road is crushed stone, so you might even be able to use a stroller if it has large wheels. There were some mini water fall cascades along... More
