We Took the grandchildren on25.09.2014 to watch the whales on the Tasman Venture the captain and crew were very helpful never short of food or drinks, and the wales played their part. on the return we stopped at another pod as they were really active, The Captain really looking after passengers. The Boat was clean, comfortable and good for viewing

We have always been into high adreneline fun and this experience was right up there. We had a ball and will hopefully go back many times. The crew had an amazing knowledge of the whales and left us with much to think about. The close up encounters with the whales was something we will remember for ever. The speed and... More

I was quite unhappy about the trip with Thats Awesome. The driver was driving the boat as if she believed the passengers loved to be smashed. I have driven boats a lot myself and I know you don't have to meet the waved the way she did. Also when we saw whales the help onboard time after time put himself... More

We did the dawn patrol, leaving at 7am. We were out there in no time and saw some very curious whales who spent time coming right up beside the boat out of the water ('mugging'). In August the mothers and their calves are still up north, but the teenagers were in the bay and we saw 7 or 8 all... More

It was awesome! We were out very early and there were only five of us on board. The boat was fast and being low in the water we felt a lot closer to the whales. We were fortunate to see the first baby of the season! It was a fabulous experience.

My wife and I went on an afternoon whale watching tour on board of That's Awesome and had a fantastic time. From the moment we were picked up from our accommodation the staff were very friendly to us. The boat's crew were very knowledgeable and extremely professional. As far as our trip was concerned they always kept a distance with... More

We chose That's Awesome because of the passenger limit (34?) and it proved to be the best decision. The whales came right up to the side, and one even lifted its tail over the rail. There was plenty of room for all of us to move about and see as much as we wanted. The crew were lovely, friendly and... More

We went to Hervey Bay last October and went on "That's Awesome" so came back and did it again this year. As it's the fastest whale watching boat on the coast you're out there and back in 3 hours, which is great with teenagers who can get bored easily. The fact the boat sits low in the water gives you...
