This was a great 4-hour tour we took, which started with the Muyil ruins, then a Jungle walk, a boat ride to cross the two lagoons, and then the unique canal float in a crystal clean shallow water, bordered by lime stone. Peaceful, no animals, warm water, just like a lazy river right in the nature. Pastor (pastorcaamal@gmail.com) was the... More

After having been to the Tulum Ruins earlier in the week, we decided to visit the ruins at Muyil early in the morning on a Friday. When we arrived a little after 8am, there were no other cars in the parking lot (just a few tour vans) and hardly any other visitors. After paying the entrance fee at the front... More

It is interesting to see such a lovely pyramid that resembles more the ones from Central and South America. It is very quiet and peaceful with no so many tourists. Entrance 40 pesos/ person The parking lot is not very large. Parking is free You are not allowed to the climb the structures

Our family of 4 went to the Muyil ruins, the Sian Kaab jungle, and also the biosphere's wetlands savannah boat ride/canal float. It was the best outing of our week. Not only was it free of the large crowds so many of the other places we went during Christmas week, it felt like stepping back in time. Thanks to another... More

If you are in the area of Tulum, this is a must - hire a local guide to take you on this combined tour, starting with a less known Maya archaeological site, followed by an easy and short stroll through the jungle, and finally, the highlight of the day - floating in the slow stream of the Maya canals cut... we had a half day tour with a local Mayan guide, Pastor. He is wonderful, and having a tour of this special place with him was one of the most memorable things we did here. He met us a little earlier than the rest of the small group to do some birding, then we got to tour the Muyil ruins,... More

We loved walking through the ruins, they are smaller and nestled right in the jungle. At the end of the path to the lagoon you can get a boat ride through the Sian' kan nature reserve and to the old Mayan custom house. The guides will give you a life vest and drop you off at a lagoon to let... More

We went here after finding lots of lovely reviews and were not disappointed.I think it was 40 pesos each to get in and an additional 50 pesos each for the jungle walk. So essentially £8 in all for the both of us. The ruins are actually much more impressive than I anticipated and really enjoyed wandering round them. We saw... More

We took the collective to Tulum from Akumal and then initially were going to wait with this van to see if other people showed up wanting to go that way, we waited a few minutes and then got a taxi to take us. It's a beautiful drive and the taxi driver gave us a designated time for pick up and... More
