easy access site, child friendly,great presentations in this ancient and beautifully restored house.there is a play area for youngsters, nice gardens to look around and a very reasonable restaurant for light refreshments. usually plenty of parking on this National Trust site

Attractive moated house with interesting history, attractive interior and lovely gardens. Peaceful spot. Well worth a visit whether you go in the house or just walk round the gardens. Introductory talk and guided tours available.

hi there, we have a natural play area for children in the garden now and trails in the house when open from 4 March. Hope that helps.
