Such A contrast to Chambord. Much more like Azay-le-RIdeau. Not a good lesson for home remodeling.

Well nothing could have been more exciting and pleasant than for me to find this chateau years ago almost by accident after coming our of visiting the town of Chinon and its chateau. It took place many years ago long before the range of calendar dates suitable for indicating the time of my visit were made available for completing this... More

Chateau d' usse was a real find on our travels, perched up high overlooking the village and river it is a must do if you love chateau's. The Chateau has lots of interesting history some of which is written about out side the Chateau's own chapel and stables which are in great condition. There is also old and new wine... More

The chateau is a fairy tale itself, and is worthy of its title of being the inspiration for the story of Sleeping Beauty. Not modernised, or 'Disney-like', there is so much to see and even more history to experience when your there.

This is an impressive privately owned castle that is doing its best to earn an income while keeping the castle in working order. The current owner, since the early 19th century is the Duc de Blacas and balancing the need for an income and keeping the rooms relevant is no easy task. Children will love the Sleeping Beauty connection and... More

Castle itself is very nice, alongside with mannequin reenactment of different time periods. But don't expect too much from the "Sleeping beauty" exposition. It's not bad, but nothing too great either

Nice storybook around the Sleeping Beauty. The kids liked it. The outside appearance of the castle is spectacular too.

The chateau of sleeping beauty. Not been for a very long time, but have such fond memories of visiting this magical place with my friend and her mother.

This looks like something from a fairy tale and one of the exhibits has a sleeping beauty theme. Allow a good couple of hours for the visit. Like most places like this it does not cater well for the disabled. I would suggest if your in a wheelchair don't bother with the house as you'll never get around as no... More

Except the sleeping beauty story connected which maybe awesome for children the castle is very poor and dark. Very heavy mildewy & reek smell. Outside view is nice even in october there are flowers still keeping the image fresh. Price 14 euro dont worth.

This chateau is small and has a "sleep beauty" appearance from the outside. There are small pretty gardens. However, it requires major renovation (which are expensive and takes time). Your admission ticket helps to fund this. However, if your time is limited, you will probably prefer to visit the more famous three - Villandry, Chambord, Chenonceau.....If you are in the... More
