This is a fantastic zoo with beautiful animals that are clearly very well cared for. We were lucky enough to do the marmoset experience, and it was simply amazing! Marmosets have always been a favourite for my partner and I, and we were so happy just to get to see them. During the experience the marmosets play, climb all over... More

You must visit this zoo if you are in the Hunter Valley. Entry prices are very reasonable and the kids had lots of fun as they get up and personal with lots of animals. Organise a picnic lunch as there are lots of picnic tables for you to sit down and relax while the kids feed the animals There are... More

We had lots of fun at the zoo, despite the heat and the wind as there are plenty of picinic tables and shadey spots to hang out in. The kids had lots of fun feeding all the different animals (sheep, goats, deer, kangaroos, lorikeets) and you can even do a feeding experience with the Meerkats. The talks and shows were... More

They pack a lot into a small zoo Maned wolves, Lions. several breeds of monkeys, heaps of alligators, some stunning birds, all the usual Australian natives, Meerkats, Fenic Foxes. plus heaps more. I had gone here about 10 years ago and there was very little to see, so was plesantly surprised to see the improvements made since my last visit.... More

Even though this zoo is only relatively small it is a wonderful attraction. Some of the birds and animals roam freely but the larger animals are in enclosures but viewing platforms are available for all ages. Talks about the various groups of animals are presented at various intervals throughout the day. One group of animals that must be seen are... More

Terrific venue for the family. Party bookings come with set up BBQ and shelter. Older animals such as lions are very well looked after following their stints at the larger zoo's. Outstanding viewing arrangements compared to the larger zoos. Animals are incredibly well fed and looked after. The owner was our lion presenter on the day and such a nice... More
