It is an unusual temple where you find a Shiv Linga in Topaz which is worshipped only in the evenings. The temples have numerous tiny shrines spread around with various types of lingas attributed todifferent Maharshis. Thev art work on the towers (Gopurams) are breahtaking. So is the structural perfection. The unfinished 1000 pillar mandapam has many stories to tell... More

Overwhelming Temple! Massive in conceptualization and execution! Unique Ambal posture! Just outside Ambal Sannidhi, one can read (and sing too if you can!) the Navarana Compositions. There is a small museum within the temple. Most of the exhibits are poorly done, but that is more than made by the few bronzes that are on display - just admire the bronzes... More

This is a very popular Shiva temple. So many corridors built on beautifully carved stone pillars, variety of sculotures depicting mythology and history, the sparse flower garden etc are really a treat to the tourist. Recent renovations and repainting works etc...have made it very charming. Car festival is famous one.You get good vibration and pleasant feelings

The temple is huge and has 3 main deities and 3 goddess in separate shrines. The circumbulation path is full of lingams prayed by saints and also signifying our vedas and periods. The temple has 365 lingams and it is best to do a complete pradakshina so we will cover everything. It is a place of Nithya pradosha and we... More

And we can enjoy the boat service in the temple pond which is outside and having a temple in middle.A government museum is maintained... More
