If you love the tranquility of seaside very near to kolkata then mandarmani would be your first choice surely.road is good.lots of hotels and resorts with beach view.less crowded beach.but hotel price range is on a little bit higher side.but options available.a bit dark in the evening.but that adds to the romantic beauty of this place.

It's a very pleasant beach and less crowded, clean beach .anybody can relax, enjoy as their wish . But be carefull when you will travel from digha to mandarmoni as taxi driver will charge you 500-800. You can skip this by traveling through WB govt buses. Take these buses from Digha to Chawlkhola it will cost 15 rupees only, then from there... More

Mandarmani a gateway destination for us living here in kolkata... To reach there it takes 180 kms from kolkata.. The beach is clean and neat. One can do various water activities... Good hotels for leisure.. Recommended placr for weekends and short holidays for family, friends & couples..

Security must be much higher in this place. For a family trip this is not a ideal place. Try to book some hotel in the gateway of Mandarmani and not to far for sure

Mandarmani is not very crowded like digha. Even we visit on long weekend, but it was not so crowded. Good place for luxury and relaxation.

This beach is one of the few motor-able beaches in INDIA, however in cue of recent accidents the authorities have strictly stopped all motor-able vehicles activities in the beach. The beach area was relatively clean perhaps owing to less crowd and few number of shacks. It was ideal to take a pleasant walk down the beach in the evening hours... More

I visited the place along with 3 families. We had stayed on the Eco Beach Resort. The view from hotel was awesome. Had a great time enjoying with friends.

the beach is spread to horizon. Flat and motor-able. You can find red crabs, specially near 'Mohana'. I've seen many red crabs here, which looks like rose petals from distance.
