December - January is the best time to visit this place. Before going there it is better to have knowledge about migrated birds. Apart from watching birds ,food is excellent at Manglajodi Eco Tourism.

If you are an ornithologist/ or photography enthusiast, a trip to mangalajodi is a must. It has one of the largest population of migratory birds ( from australia to siberia) who co-exist very peacefully with the local bird spices. Only if humans could learn from them. The richness of bird population is complimented by the extensive knowledge of the guides... More

It was a truly a blessing in disguise that we were advised to go to Mangalajodi for the ultimate birding experience. The approximately 1.5 hour drive from Puri was good. After a while, lush green fields and wetlands of all sizes blanket the entire area. The contact person at the Mangalajodi birding office, Ms. Reena was very very helpful in... More

Great Place for sighting birds in the Chilika Lake for bird watching and Photography. I had a good visit to this place and really did not feel out of place though I had traveled alone to this place. Hotel Options are limited (Only two Options)

I had been to Mongolajodi twice. A remarkable place.I usually stay at Puri and visit the place. I go in the afternoon when the sun is less strong. The guides are very helpful and informative. But sad to say their lives are very tough.I wish the govt or wwf does something for their wellbeing.

We rushed to the marshy land early in morning when the Sun made up its mind to show its face and started taking preparation. When the sun rose in the sky we were with the birds in the shallow water listening to the songs of the different species of migratory birds. It was a divine experience. If one loves to... More

I visited this place last week & stayed at Manglajodi Eco Tourism Trust camp. This is a Bird's Paradise and visits during November to March is excellent for bird watching. This camp provides basic stay with good food with reasonable rates. You have to do boating for bird watching. You can contact Shashank or Rina @ 8895288955. This place is... More

Probably the best getaway for the bird lovers in the eastern part of India. The early morning boat rides were just unbelievable.
