The Celts worshiped their Godess Svanahild on Schwanberg.With Christianity establishing Schwanberg became a Place for Pilgramage.In the middle-ages a Chapel was build and designated to Archanchel Michael.1987 a church was build again and also designated to Archangel Michael.Spiritual Centre [established bySisters of "Comm.Casteller Ring']where Retreats are being held,Lectures ect.A Bookstore with spiritual Lit. Restaurant-Cafe next to it.Small lovely Patio,good food.Schlosspark... More

Protestant Congregation Church St. Michael, consecrated 1986, an architectural jewel of the Munich architect Alexander Freiherr von Branca. In fact, if one is in Schwanberg one can visit the church, but if one intends to make a special U-turn to visit the church, then do not bother...
