On entering the museum building their is a display of Steiff toys - not just teddy bears - many of which are moving. We started this visit by having lunch at the restaurant which was average at best. We then paid to visit the museum. The tour starts with a brief history of Steiff and was a little hokey but,... More

Town is known for its teddy bears. It is a museum placed next to factory and birth house of Margarete Steiff, founder of the factory. Museum displays all sorts of stuffed animals they made, from the odlest to modern. They arranged many kinds of natural environment where animals live (like north pole) and set design for stories and fairy tales... More

As Grandparents of 3 young grandchildren this had to be a must. We were so full of delight. What a wonderful place to go. The exhibitions are all so amazing, staff very helpful, layout perfect for all ages, to see the workshop was just so very special. Can spend as much time looking as you wish no rushing at all.... The museum is situated side by side with the factory. On entering the building you are charmed by a display of large bears and a collage of bears performing a variety of tasks. Taking a tour of the museum is a great interactional experience. There are lots of photo opportunities on the tour and the shop has a complete steiff... More

This museum was the last thing on our list before heading towards Frankfurt for our departure. We were a little stressed leaving the house in Bachhagel that we almost forgot to stop there! Iam so glad we remembered it before being on the Autobahn. It has the story in many languages. First you go through a little story that has... More

A must see. Kids will be enthralled at the stories at the start of the museum and its is really well done. There are lots of interactive toys for kids to play on and loads to keep them entertained. Also look out for the factory outlet just outside the museum - not that well advertised bUt much cheaper than the... More

Wonderful historical museum dedicated to the Worlds oldest Teddy Bear makers. Terrific for little kids. Maybe not a place for adults, unless you are a big kid at heart or you are passionate about Teddy Bears. Well worth a visit for families with small children or soft toy history buffs....
