- Iain AKirkcaldy, United Kingdom699 contributionsThe MeediesTook a walk around Loch Ore within the country park and enjoyed the great scenery and tranquility. Some of the paths were a bit muddy after heavy rain but not enough to put us off. There is an outdoor centre, a cafe, the old colliery winding tower to remind visitors the former industrial site and a nearby golf course. Plenty parking when we were there, but would imagine it would be very busy in summertime. Well worth the visit.Visited February 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 5 March 2024
- akholsGlenrothes, United Kingdom28 contributionsMotorhome stopoverRecently upgraded motorhome stopover at Lochore Meadows. Lovely country park with cycling, walks, water sports, kids play park, great wee cafe and lots more. The gravel parking bays for motorhomes are spacious and well set apart. All waste facilities and fresh water is now on site with a secure barrier entry . Maximum 2 night stay can be booked by phone or in person. It’s a lovely peaceful area - no matter how busy the park and is well worth a visit.Visited April 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 30 April 2024
- CaninecaperLondon, United Kingdom298 contributionsLovely walkWe visited to walk around the Loch. The paths are very well maintained and it was very clean and tidy. The park was very busy with school children but it was lovely to see them having fun. There is a play area for younger children and a cafe. Well worth the visit.Visited June 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 25 June 2024

- Jennifer SEdinburgh, United Kingdom1 contributionFantastic day trying out water sports! We went to the water sports centre and the staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. It was immediately obvious that myself and a friend were not comfortable in a canoe so Mark took time to build up our confidence. By the end of the session we both gave it a go and did quite well! Facilities were great (changing rooms) and kit of very good quality. Thank you for a special day out.Visited July 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 23 July 2024

- Louise L1 contributionExcellent experienceI feel compelled to write a review after a few visits here lately. Always excellent service with a very friendly face from all staff. More than happy with food/drinks purchased here. Also very importantly for me is the cleanliness in the toilets. Absolutely spotless and ample soap/hand towels. This is a very rare occurrence in other establishments!! Highly recommend this place. Thank you to everyone involved for your hard work.Visited October 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 24 October 2024

We visit regularly with pupils on a school day out. We always start off at the cafe for our snack. The two ladies who work in the cafe are helpful and really engage with the pupils, Always going above and beyond to make our visit a great experience. One of the ladies enjoys learning sign along to communicate with them making a point of coming over to speak to each pupil. Always an enjoyable visit, thank you ladies.

was at the park today and really enjoyed a trip around the loch in an electric buggy! the staff were very helpful and informative about the area and it's free!! I left a donation at the desk though as it was really worth it.. the trip took 35 mins in total and was a bit bumpy at times. The thing that really lets the park down is the cafe.. it's a beautiful space with so much potential but only one person working there who had to try and create the recipes on the menu, cook food for customers, make coffees and clean tables.. absolutely shocking!! girl was run off her feet and I had to wait in the que for too long!! need more staff!!

What a disaster. Booking dates were wrong...our fault they said. No email with codes or dates....our fault. Manager was supposed to call, He was rude when eventually he did call, after repeated...and I mean repeated calls to an answering machine, because I by this time was fuming.
We ended up just turning round and leaving. Another couple said they never got email either, so they must be liars as well.
We left with no damage, no drama, returned everything in its place and now refused our deposit, because the manager didn't like being spoken back to. Apparently I threatened several staff...I only ever saw six and only spoke to three and two of those were helpful, but I'm the threatening liar

I've been here to hire the kayaks which was amazing for me as a beginner to get used to it. Calm waters and not too deep made me feel less anxious.
We have walkd around it and he walk took 1hr10mins at a good pace. The views were lovely all the way round and is the perfect distance for non-professional walkers. Its flat most of the way round and a few gates to go through on the stoney paths.

Stayed in a motorhome for 3 nights, throughly enjoyed our stay with a motorhome rally, great that we could get fresh water and empty our chemical toilet and there was rubbish bins provided, there are also limited electric hookups too. Great value for money and fabulous surroundings and very peaceful at night, the only thing it is missing is somewhere to empty the grey waste. The weather wasn't the best, love to come again and hire a boat if the weather is good. There is also a great playground for children as well as a cafe and toilets.

Spent three nights at a Motorhomer.com meet, the staff were very helpful and pleasant. Nice to see Fife council catering for Motorhomers with fresh water and chemical waste disposal. A drive over grey water drain would be beneficial but top marks for all facilities. Will certainly be back and will recommend to friends.

What a difference to feel welcome!!
Had a great weekend at lochore meadows, despite the weather
Stayed on the motorhome parking with a group of fellow motorhomers. How refreshing to visit a place and not feel as if we are there on sufferance!!
Well done to the park manager for making us feel welcome, will definitely return.
What a brilliant place with something for everyone, in one weekend we watched windsurfers, canoeists, paddle boarders even watched water rescue dogs training. One day I might even participate in an activity!

One of the most underrated stopoff in 🏴.
We stayed in motorhome parking area for a Sunday evening. Very good price, not surprised it was so busy.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Pitches had plenty of room.
We stayed on one of those rare Scotttish Scorchio days and the place was heaving , in a good way. Lots of families out enjoying the water and sunshine.
If only all Local Authorities did this.

A good park is always a great find and this delivered on numerous factors.
Plenty of parking, good play area suitable for a vast age range, good walks both on paths (including a fairy trail in the forest)and tarmac and lots of fresh air. Water sports were also on offer!!!
Good clean toilets at the visitors centre with cheap hot drinks completed the perfect package.

It can be very busy on warm weekends, particularly over the Fife school holiday and around the children's park and beach area but there still is room for everyone. The walks around the loch are always available and never too crowded. You can cycle around the loch, use the short skills course or use the graded skills courses in the white woods section of the facility.
It is always fun no matter the weather or how busy it is.
