This is one of the most beautiful and different beaches near the capital of Cantabria (Santander). If you want to scape from the masses of "El Sardinero" this is an interesting place to visit because of the amazing geological formations, nice atmosphere and good restaurants and bars nearby. After a a quick walk over rocky coast I had a delicious fish with veggies at the restaurant on top of the cliff! The views were amazing! It is increasing its visitants so try to visit it during the weekdays.

Don’t plan a visit to make sand castles or lie under the sun. This is a beach for a climb, admire the sea and take 1000 pictures. Please choose a day when the “Cantábrico” is angry. Probably better in a cloudy day, with waves breaking in the astonishing rocks shaped for a “game of thrones” chapter.

Water was too cold in April/May but the view was fantastic. Few people during this time of the year makes for pleasant walks. Climbing on the rocks provided nice views. Not much to find other than the breathtaking scenery.

Nice clean beach with eye popping views of many rock formations. There is plenty of parking and 2 fine restaurants nearby. The access to the beach may be challenging to elderly and handicapped people.

As a family we visited this beach before our ferry back to England. The beach was lovely with something to do for everyone. Also there isn't many waves as it is shelter by a island which means it is greet for kids as well as adult to swim in. I have made two video of the beach, if you want to watch them click on the links below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_pELZ1zNJCk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3axlEHy45kQ Thanks
