If you want to bring a special keepsake from your journey, just skip the many mediocre souvenir shops in Sengiggi and go straight to this lovely shop! This appears to be the only store in Sengiggi that offers really unique handicraft and beautiful antique artifacts at astonishingly good prices. You can look around, not feeling pressured to buy at all, and learn about the origins and original uses of artifacts from the very amiable owners. In three weeks of travels on Bali and Lombok I have not found another store half as exciting and lovely as this one. In other places it was always the same mass-produced merchandise. Not at Sudirmans: they have outstanding pieces of old handicraft that are really difficult to find today. We stayed for hours, and came back twice, buying as much as our backpack would allow. Even simply spending time there, admiring the beautiful things, and chatting with the family - this alone was worth the visit. Keep an eye out for the address to spot it off the main street. Only a small sign “antik” advertises it as a store, you step through an open gate and cross a small yard before entering.

Located just back from the main road, this store offers a nice range of wooden and metal antiques from the asian pacific. Store was open when we went but nobody was there and lights were off. Advisor map pin incorrect at time of writing. Real location approximately 1.6km north on main road next to Papaya cafe.

Well worth a look. The owner is charming and will let you browse without feeling pressured. Lots of interesting things, much of which is manageable as carry-on for travellers flying.

Sudirman Antiques is a veritable treasure trove in Senggigi. The spacious gallery features antiques from across the archipelago, with a focus on local art. Sudirman himself is a very knowledgeable and charming gentleman who will gladly guide you through his gallery and offer explanations on individual items. I will certainly go back next time I am on Lombok.

We really enjoyed coming here, nice piece of recent antiques at a very reasonnable price. We went there 3 times before deciding our buy. We had a very good contact with Mister Surdiman who's a very nice person.

Mr. Sudirman has been in business for 40 years, he told us, and has been mentioned in a few coffee-table books on Indonesian art. My friend and I ended up spending over an hour in the shop when we'd just popped in to have a look on the strength of previous TripAdvisor reviews. This is not the place to get cheap tourist tat, so expect higher prices (although Sudirman is open to some gentle bargaining, especially if you end up buying a few pieces, as we did).
Just a note: the location on previous posts is incorrect on Google maps - the shop is set slightly back from the road between the Papaya cafe and a money changer on the main road in Senggigi. The current phone number is written in pen on the business card.

Mr Sudirman took the time and effort to explain and show us many different items. His antiques are mainly from Lombok, but also from other islands of Indonesia. Items range from old tools, sculptures, weapons to modern day built wayang puppets, and many things more. If you appreciate antiques this is a really nice store with a knowledgeable and kind owner.

We were sitting across the street eating some lunch when we saw this shop. We decided to come in and check it out, it was awesome. Like the rest of the reviewers, it was as if stepping back in time or going to a local museum. We really had our eye on the bird traps there, Mr. Sudirman gave us the story of what it was, why they used it, and my favorite, using it as a hanging lamp. The workmanship on it was great, the price was good, but our luggage space was lacking! If/when we go back to Lombok, we plan on bringing an extra empty bag to allow us to shop at this place. Worth the visit!

I was spoiled for choices here. They have plenty of goods that represent Lombok specifically and Indonesia in general. there were paintings, batik, clothes, musical instruments and many more. The prices varies but they are mostly reasonably priced.
