About
Anggrek Putih offers half day cooking classes & garden tour every day from Monday to Saturday. Classes consist of a minimum of 2 people to a maximum of 7 people. Experience the different flavour of "Indonesian cuisine" and learn about the local products. From spicy local "Lombok food" with hot chilies and herbs to the sweetness of Javanese food made with fresh coconut milk, palm sugar and peanuts. The courses are conducted in a personal relaxed atmosphere in English or German by the Indonesian owner. Our cooking classes commence daily at 11:30 am and are a fun educational and enjoyable way to learn about the Indonesian food and culture for the whole family. Bookings are essential. Hotel pick-up is included in the area of Senggigi ,batu layar,mataram,kerandangan, Mangsit.

Delicious food and great gardening insights!

Chris opened up his house to us for our cooking class and garden tour. His wife, Dewi, conducted the cooking class, helping each one of us prepare a distinct Indonesian dish. Aside from my mother, the rest of us were novices but Dewi helped us actively participate in 99% of the cooking process, and ensured that the resulting final dishes were something we were all proud of. She was patient with my kids who thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the food. We were completely stuffed and happy.

Chris's garden is a candyshop for any aspiring grower. He carefully explained what he grows and gave tips on ensuring healthy plants, and more importantly, how to maximise the fruit yield of each type of plant. We had a wonderful time eating his tomatoes, cucumbers, paprika, and various leaves right off the plants.

Chris is a man with many insights, with an accomplished background in agriculture. After our cooking class and gardening tour, we had a nice and long coffee chat. It was a pleasure learning so much from him. Thank you for opening up your life to us and for your generosity in providing us with the various seeds!

Amazing hospitality & personalised service. The owner cooks breakfast for you. Staff are very accommodating & kind. Surrounded by lush garden & organic farm where you can cook the very fresh produce. Clean and well-organised itinerary for guests. Do ask questions if you are unsure of the itinerary to Mt Rinjani & specify type of food that you prefer. The snokerling trip to 5 spots was fab - we saw many colourful fishes, corals & huge turtle.

A vegetable garden is an ideal classroom for a cook. There’s no better way to learn about, and connect with, the meal being prepared than to see how your food is grown and then harvest it for use in a dish that you prepare. Best cooking class in lombok
Im staying at Anggrek Putih Eco Resort and attend their activity daily in the open studio for cooking class. The ambience is very nice, chef is very good and detail, the staff is very helpful and food is so delicious.
I do like cooking and attend so many places, and this cooking class is the best for me. Good price, best chef, excellent food, nice studio and good service.
Thanks Linda and all the cooking class staff, you are so amazing.
