Very pretty in one side, ugly on the other side and totally overcrowded and over priced. I would suggest a day visit only.

Railway beach truly has something for everyone. Different sections are more commercialized while others are more untouched. A wonderful beach to explore!

Very nice sandy beach. Not much to do here except lie on the sand. Many of the restaurants along the beachfront will only help you if you're a guest staying at their resort. It's a bit too snobby, western and commercial for my liking. Not...More

Great swimming and lively beach to relax on. Plenty of food places right on the beach. Ferries to ao nang leave from here, they will normally wait for a full boat before leaving.

If you're in the Krabi area, I think it's definately worth going to Railay for a day trip or even to stay for a few nights. There are many restaurants(even happy shakes and happy pizza if you're so inclined), massage and tattoos parlors and even...More

Althought it is not the most breathtaking beach in the area, it is a nice place to hang out, see the sunset and stay over night. Great for fun party (at the last bar), do some kayaking, rockclimbing or sightseeing.

Great for couples, sport fans (climb rocks, paddle surf, kayaking), and for resting quiet at incredible sunsets. I enjoyed mi stay there very much. Phra Nang Beach is really beautifull.

We intended to visit Phra Nang Beach but the long boat shuttle deposited the passengers to Railey Beach and cited choppy tides as a reason for not going to Phra Nang Beach. Kind of annoyed this happened because I did not see the boat driver...More

I could see how this place could be nice in the best of times, but we were unfortunately there after a bad patch of weather. Not a lot to do really, the back is all mangroves. There are a few little nice spots to get...More

Echoing the above - the long boats are the typical transport. As others have mentioned, these are on the "roughing it side". While that's one reason I enjoyed it, be aware that these are not the same as the luxury boats... More

The climb to the viewpoint is very steep, almost 80 degrees or more. I did it on the spur of the moment in flipflops! The view is spectacular - you could see both East and West Railey. Dangerous climb over rocky terrain and... More
