The fort has huge historic importance 7 is located on the way to Kazbegi/Gaduri. Offers good view to the Aragvi river. The road is narrow & is busy with trucks.

Explore church, surrounding & take time to walk down upto river for beautiful views. Can play in water or have picnic there. Nice place to buy souvenir & handicrafts

A very interesting sight on the way to Kazbegu. Worth to have a look at icons inside. I was told that muslims invading were removing their eyes. Also have a look at sculpture z on the side - a perfect picture of alians.

You can visit this place on your way to Kazbeji beautiful mountains. It has an amazing view of a water reservoir.

You can see it from the road and the view invites you to stop and step in. That is a very interesting monastery complex to visit. Please expect a lot of visitors if you stop there in the high season.

This fortress is beautifully located on the shores of the Ananuri dam. On the way up to the mountains, it is worth a quick stop to enjoy the beautiful views, but I would not spend the time and money on a day trip from Tbilisi....More
