Kepa is a small beautiful island just across Alor Kecil. It is very quite since there are only a few villagers who live there and they mostly work for the two resort on Kepa. It is a very strategic place to stay for divers because you don't need to take a long boat trip to the dive sites. If you are not a diver it is also nice to snorkel or just enjoy a lazy day on the island but of course your chance to stay there will be bigger if you are a diver or travelling with a diver because the 2 resorts on Kepa don't have many rooms and they are usually fully booked by those who take the diving package. There is no freshwater and electricity on the island, everything is supplied from Alor Kecil.

We went to this island five days after Ied holiday. There was no decent boat, so we took an old fisherman boat. The sea was not as calm as any other sea, and we must sail around the island before getting there passing a dangerous current. But there was no one in the beach in the back of the island, which facing the sea and Pura island.
The beach is very beautiful with turqoise, crystal clear and shallow water, and also clean. But in the part of the island which facing Alor island there are many goats so the land is rather dirty, although the beach is still beautiful.

One of the best beaches of Alor, with good coral barrier and colourful sea. Also available bingalows or traditional huts in a well kept structure

One of the mandatory island to be visited while you are in Alor Island. We were here to join diving and snorkeling trip for 5 days in a row. Snorkeling in front of one of the bungalows here also worth it. How to get to this island? Take the boat from Alor Kecil harbor and it cost you Rp. 20.000/ way.

15 minutes crossing the strait of alor kecil take you to the beauty of kepa island, you will find the unique small savana with blue sea lanscape, enjoy the serenity of the nature and take a snorkeling around the island.
there is a resort owned by a french couple, a nice and cozy place to stay in kepa island. they have full board package for snorkeling or you can also enjoy your day, spoiled by the nature .

Great snorkeling spots. Pristine white sand beach. Awesome sunset. Great place to have a quiet time or some fun. Make sure you bring your own lunch picnic and snorkeling gear though.
