Well hidden on a way out from Zawiercie in a village called Podzamcze. An amazing proof of old architecture full of history and legends of ghosts and haunting black dog... We spent there around 4 hours, checking every hole and stairs and that's only the castle. There's also large park around it and some interesting restaurants with local food. It's... More

It is the best castle among all eagle nests. It is the largest one and better prepared for your visit. If you have no time for complete eagle nests trip you must to visit at least this one.

Beautiful location in the Jura with amazing views all around it. One of top castle ruins in Poland. If you come with children then you will also find handy lots of activities including small yet original amusement park just next to the castle.

not exactly just a castle...more an amusement park around the medieval theme set next to a castle... nice place though probably more worth it with kids

I visited this site on a run with a large group in July 2015 and was so impressed that I would write a review as a place well worth visiting. It is on the crest of a hill with views all over. Beside it were stones taken from the ruins. However I am amazed, on looking up the exact location... More

Beautiful place if you like history and castles. Also there is a great rope park, but in November it was closed.

Well worth a visit to this incredible castle, which can be seen from miles around. The museum of torture is not for the squeamish.

When you arrive in town, be prepared to pay 5zł. to park in one of several small lots, then walk up the hill to the castle. Unless you have small kids who must have kitchy souvenirs, I'd skip the many stalls leading up to the castle. If you are with small children, they may enjoy the many mini attractions at... More

It is worth the vist not only for the historical site but for the nature. Avoid public holidays and Sundays as the place is the usual family excursion of local people.
