I paid for a guided tour, but my guide just limited herself to read the descriptions, and left me by myself mid-tour. I was able to buy some souvenirs in the back (there´s a little crafts market)

There is not a lot to do in Nampula, and this won't keep you busy for long. It is comprehensive and interesting in places but dont expect too much, it is only two floors. The shops at the back are quite fun with better prices...More

It was okay. There's signage and explanations in English. There's a small craft market behind the museum, which had really good quality crafts.

There's very little to see in Nampula. The museum is overpriced (100m) given the limited exhibits. 15 mins max.

Never really went in, because the gate is the middle of hawkers. I ended u enjoying the restaurant behind it with arts and crafts, very authentic Mozambique artworks. It gets hot in mid-day, so shops close between 12:00 and 2pm

Interesting museum right in the middle of Nampula. Worth a look. Quite a few exhibits, more than I expected.

visiting the museum was an interesting option in Nampula. The collection is not very well curated, however it tells a lot about contemporary Mozambique and Nampula, especially about the makhuwa and maconde people. Artifacts are organized in an evolutionary, thus quite outdated way, but still...More
