Love this Zoo!!!
Nov 2019
Feed Lions and Tigers and Jaguars!!! I mean common! And feed Hippos and even pat Rinos!! I felt like a kid and was giddy all over. It is in a large mountainous area so it is better for the animals than most zoos. Some animals roam free as well. They save elephants who were mistreated as well, and you can hang out with chimps and orangutans.
Only negatives is it is always sad to see large cats in captivity because they would love to run. The other animals seem like their space is not too bad. Also the food there is limited and terrible so bring some snacks!

A good zoo ruined by stupid management
Jul 2020 • Family
This zoo was good when you could use cars and would be good if you could use them now. Sadly they have used covid to change the rules so you have to use golf carts (500b for 2 hours) or the bus. I used the bus on a school trip and it's fun so we decided on that.

It should be noted that if this change is for covid it is nonsense. The car is much more secure covid wise, the buses no social distancing and the carts werent cleaned on handover.

This change might work theoretically but when it started raining we were dumped at a 7/11 without warning or information. It is wet season, it rains every day, but there is no plan. 30 minutes later I found the pr office on the complex we were dumped in and asked why we were stood there. Rain. Why cant we use cars? Laugh, no answer. (Real answer - short term profits).

So the 3 options were to hire a cart with no sides to drive on wet mountainous roads and get wet, rely on a bus that would dump us if the black clouds opened or go home. We walked about 1km downhill to the car parks (no signposts where the car parks are) and got wet again.

This zoo is designed for cars. If the website had advised of the changes we wouldn't have gone as it's obvious it wont work. They arent advertised as they know it's obvious. We wont be going back until cars are allowed.

Animal Abuse
Jul 2020 • Solo
I stand against animal abuse which this zoo practices on its poor animals such as their elephants who have their ears pulled amongst other practices to perform in their elephant swimming show.

CRUEL ZOO!!!
Jan 2020 • Friends
Khao Kheow Open Zoo in Chonburi Thailand are forcing their Elephants to swim under water as an
entertainment display for paying tourists. This practice is extremely cruel to the Elephants as their trunks act as a snorkel when they are in water, but if they are fully submerged then they are at huge risk of drowning.

Great day out
Dec 2019 • Family
Having been to similar parks Khao Kheow is different as the animals are well cared for and free to roam. You can hire a golf buggy for 700bath which I would recommend (remember your passport as this is required) as the park is massive and not possible to get round on foot.
The highlight for us was seeing the Lima’s who are very well cared for and friendly.
Feeding so many different animals and getting up close with, giraffes, monkeys, chimpanzees, elephants, tigers, lions (both through a cage and not involving chains or them being drugged), deers, Rhinos and much more.
Food and drink was very reasonably priced at 25p for a hot dog, 50p for a bottle of pop.
Around the park you can also feed the wild monkeys 🐒 but watch out they are definitely cheeky and will snatch food from you.
Enjoy if you go 😀🐅🐘🐍🦍🦛🦏🐪🦒

Great zoo
Dec 2019 • Family
We were at the zoo 4 years ago when it was only golf carts and what a difference.. jam packed with cars some of the parts were so busy you couldn’t even park a golf cart so we missed a few bits..need about 4 hrs to get around. . Golf carts are 500 baht for 2 hrs you need hand in your driving licence.. loadsa cheeky monkeys who will steal food out your hand . Lots to see . The only real bit I didnt like is the elephants who are chained. But all in all a decent must see zoo and definitely don’t miss the orangutans if you can manage the stairs .one we saw was in viewing point drinking a bottle of fizzy orange :-)

Open your eyes and you see the cruelty
Dec 2019 • Friends
I went there with an open mind.. thinking it is like an other zoo. But the things I saw makes me leave the place feeling so sad. It is meant to be an open zoo, so you can buy food at the entrance to feed the animals. We bought it without thinking too much, but when we go in, we realise that the animals meals depends on the food we bought. Most of the animals were constantly hungry and snatching up the food which we offer. Makes me think of how they were starved probably so that the animals can eat the food we offer.
One elephant we saw was on chain and he is probably the oldest elephant because he has the longest tusk. Very sad to see that.
When feeding the deers, we saw some deers have wounds on them and were still bleeding. There was no zookeepers nearby for us to alert them as well.
Please be careful of the wild monkeys! When they see us with the paper bags that is filled with the veg and fruits which we bought at the entrance, they follow us all around. We were so scared as one of the monkeys pounced and snarled at us! My friend got wounded by the claws and no zookeepers were around to help us.
The animal show was ok but it shows how skinny the lion is! The animals just appear for a while to eat their food and left.
I will not return to this place and urged you not to visit.

Lots to see! 🦓🐘🦒🐅
Dec 2019 • Couples
My boyfriend and I (young adults) had a great time at this zoo. There is heaps to see! We spent hours looking at all of the different animals. It is a huge zoo so I would definitely recommend hiring a buggy. If you are in Pattaya this is defiantly a place worth visiting!

In theory, a very nice and big area for animals but in practice, a little sad place to visit ☹️
Nov 2019 • Friends
Not being a great fan of zoos as an animal lover, but then appreciating the role the zoos sometimes have in maintaining the breeds. In principle, this was quite a niece zoo as the area covered is so wide. But, the area for some animals is saddening lying small, like the leopards.it’s a nice idea that you can feed the animals (and pay for it) 🤩
