About
As Gorontalo's pioneer dive center, Miguel's Diving has offered scuba diving to certified divers since 2003. It is the only dive operator in Gorontalo that owns its own dock, speed boats, and has PADI-trained dive masters. Over the years, Miguel's Diving has discovered over 30 dive sites. These include pristine coral walls, multiple pinnacles, submerged points, underwater caverns, historical wrecks, and even muck. With its experienced local crew and Western management, everyone from beginning divers to professional underwater photographers can enjoy the hidden paradise of Gorontalo. Active in local conservation efforts, dive center staff perform regular reef cleaning, education campaigns in villages, and spearhead Olele Village Marine Reserve. Miguel's Diving follows COVID-19 health protocols recommended by PADI and DAN.

Rantje from Miguel's Diving truly sets the standard for safety and professionalism in off-season diving in Gorontalo, Indonesia.
We visited the whale sharks, sandball, and Olele, weather was not with us but Ratje managed to organize it in the weather window. Undeng our DM and Uban the boat captain was professional and committed.
Their unwavering commitment to diver safety, thorough briefings, expert guidance, and adaptability to changing conditions make them an exceptional choice for any diver, whether experienced or novice. Rantje made every dive an unforgettable adventure. I cannot recommend them highly enough and will definitely be returning for more dives with Rantje and the incredible team at Miguel's Diving in the future!

We were quite surprised when you called from the airport to tell us your were boarding your flight to Gorontalo. Weather conditions are quite bad, especially July and August, as you experienced for yourselves. Travelers who are passing through Gorontalo to the Togean Islands are welcome to consult us about possible and limited diving. For other divers, we encourage waiting for regular diving season, which is November to April.
Indeed, safety is our first priority. Then, the fun begins!

We booked a 6 day diving package with 14 dives with Ratjne of Miguel's Diving in Gorontalo. We were not dissapointed. We had a great time. The boat crew is good, our equipment was always on the boat with nothing missing. Dive sites were choosen well. Ratjne took care of everything from pick upnat airport, accomodation to our daily pick up and drop off for our daily dives. Evetything was smooth. We had fun. Thank you Ratjne and team.

I went to gorontalo mid of march 2023, we planned to take 3 days dive. It was a special trip for us, we saw a giant whaleshark which is the first time in our life. The whole journey was amazing, the crew, dive master are very helpful. I got a lot of photos. Rance he is the lead of the crew, nice helpful and alway happy person.

We have specialized in happy divers for twenty years now. One of the reason is that our staff are also happy, showing our guests the hidden paradise underwater in Gorontalo.

Absolut perfekt day. The Owner is helpful and professionell and the staff was Great. We saw whalsharks and the second dive was absolut Great. 5* for This experience…he sent us also photos from the dive for free😃

We had a great dive and snorkel trip with the Miguel’s team this morning. They were on time, very professional, and great at managing our experience with whale sharks around other people. They know all the sites around Gorontalo, and all the species, and I’d highly recommend them.

This was my first dive in Gorontalo. I did not know much about diving activities in Gorontalo before, so did not know what to expect. It turned out, the service provided by Rantje and his team was surprisingly efficient and professional. Everything was on schedule. I like it a lot. During the dive, I have the opportunity to see a whale shark. That was awesome, but the over all diving was very enjoyable and relaxing. On top of that Rantje shared several very nice pictures of me and the whale shark. Thanks Rantje for this. Will certainly plan to come back and bring my family.

We would love to dive with your family on the next trip to Gorontalo. From November to April is our regular dive season. During that time, conditions are stable to allow inexperienced and junior divers to enjoy their experience safely.

I first dived Gorontalo 10 years ago for only 2 days of diving outside the regular season, came back recently for longer and was delighted the diving was even better this time!
I just love how Rantje & the whole crew were passionate about their work & role to introduce to divers the underwater beauty of the waters around Gorontalo.
A very well-run operation that's highly recommended for one to engage in order to dive the hidden garden of Eden that's Gorontalo.

What I love about Miguel's Diving is how the owner (Rantje) took everything accounted for. He never missed any details that may arise from your arrival, land transfers, hotel, and even the changes in your departure flight! He makes sure you get what you paid for. I have been diving to many places, this by far is the best.

We had a great time diving with you. The real advantage of booking a package with us, rather than diving only, is the extra level of service we can provide. Because you booked the package, the driver contracted to take you to the airport was able to alert me early in the morning that your flight was canceled, allowing us time to get you booked on the other flight for that day and coordinate pick up to the airport, so that you did not miss your international flight.

Very well-run dive shop, with nice boats, experienced dive guides and quality rental equipment. I spent 7 days diving with them, and got to dive all of their best sites.

Sorry, July is during wave season in Gorontalo, so we are closed to regularly scheduled diving. A two-dive trip may be possible, but we must assess the weather on that particular day before leaving. Because of the high risk of cancellation, we do not accept advance bookings in July.

Hi Sir. How is the weather in gorontalo this december? In Java it is raining during the day. Is it still good for diving this month? Or january/february is better? Are the whale sharks still spotted every day?

Gorontalo's weather is different from Java. Rain does not affect the diving schedule. December is great for diving, as is January and February. Whale sharks are on migration. We cannot guarantee on a particular date whether or not they will be visiting, although we often see them.

There are daily flights from Makassar to Gorontalo. The flight takes 1 hour 20 minutes. We are located in Gorontalo City. Please check our web site for exact location on Google Maps. We only take junior divers during regular diving season November to April. Currently, it is wave season in Gorontalo.
