We visited with our two grandchildren for the first time last week. Managed to get parked fairly close to the main entrance but car park had a few potholes full of water. Entrance prices fairly typical of this type of attraction. Once through the gift...More

We were in Kent for a holiday break park - the site we stayed at was disgusting (separate review) so we wanted something to do to entertain the children who were aged 2 - 10 years. We chose tbis because it was reasonably priced and...More

A little bit pricey, but a good day out, loads of animals to stroke and pet, best to take a picnic as restaurant is quite limited and a bit overpriced (£1.80 for can of coke)

We went for the first time on Saturday. We were not sure what to expect. It is a lovely place to visit. A walk through aviary, a butterfly house, falconry display, although the hawk wasn't really interested in participating. Woodland walk, couple of children's play...More

This is a great day out for kids and families. Every year they have a classic car day and it really not worth visiting especially if you are a car owner! this year they parked a tractor across the entrance to stop you getting out...More

It was our first visit to the rare breeds centre and we were very impressed. Lots of animals to see and interact with and great play facilities for the children. Will definitely recommend to others.

I had come with my extended family. The staff were so friendly. They had 2 wheelchairs for my elderly parents. Towards the end of the day, they tried to accomodate my daughter who had missed the timings for petting some of the cuddly animals. The...More

As a season ticket holder for myself and my grandson I have just returned from a visit to the Rare Breeds Centre and, unusually for us, decided to have something in the Granary restaurant. It must have been about 3.30 on a very busy Saturday (to-day) and my grandson wanted anything with chips but there was nothing hot or sandwiches on offer. He, therefore, chose a chocolate muffin with some smarties on the topping and a bottle of Coke. On arriving at the cash desk I was very surprised to be asked for £6.50! After getting him seated I was going back to get a coffee and cake for myself but, at this price, I didn't bother and won't hurry to return to the restaurant again. The table where we sat had not been cleaned and there was a lot of food under the table, including a whole cake which my grandson picked up and nearly ate. Apart from this I have always enjoyed fun filled days with my grandson at the Rare Breeds Centre which has improved each year and seems very well run. I also applaud the work they are doing by having maybe slightly less able people working alongside them. But please, please revise your pricing for one cup cake & a bottle of coke!
