It is a very beautiful castle in Meybod, another city in Yazd province. On top of it you can have a very good view to the city. In this picture of mine you can see the beautiful view. I totally recommend it.

If you have not visited an Iranian castle then check this one out. There is not much inside however with a bit of imagination you easily picture the complete structure. It is a pleasant short exploration making good photos and provides excellent views of the...More

After have been to Rayan and Sae-Yazd, this castle was not very impressive. We went early in the morning and enjoyed the view to the town bellow. We stayed for an hour. Once there, one should go.

This Median period fortress dates from the earliest days of the Persian empire and remains one of Iran's most impressive antiquities. The mud-brick walls are astonishingly high, and a walk through the complex affords excellent views of the town of Meybod and the surrounding countryside....More

You can see the clay fortress from the area outside. There is not much more to see inside. The entrance costs 150,000 rials. I was not terribly impressed. Comparing to Kharanagh that costs only 50,000 rials to get in, it is not a must see.

Well the view point is interesting from the top but for the 150k rial it is really a crazy price to charge for very little maintenance I see around. I think can skip meybod if you are in a hurry. Kharanaq is worth the visit...More

Actually speaking, the suburb tour of Yazd seems not well worth the money. Especially after visiting the spectacular mosques in Isfahan, Yazd may be a little disappointing. But that is exactly what makes Yazd different from other cities, an ancient quiet town dotted with mud...More

Stop by the castle ruins for great views of the city and to get an idea of a large mid brick construction. Not much to sense but gives a sense of the grandeur of what it must have been like in the past
