Decent roads to get here; ideal if you're a motorcyclist looking for a destination. Lots of local history; well presented facts and exhibits. Amazing views. Recommended.

This WWI cemetery is not on the scale of Monte Grappa or Asiago, but is still well worth visiting if in the area. There are several period artillery pieces outside, and within is a small museum, detailing the fighting around this area at the Piave River. This was where the Italians stopped the Austrian/German breakthrough after the battle of Caporetto in 1917, and the fighting took place very close to this spot as detailed in the pictures and maps. Continuing up, there is a large open space in the tower with good views.

If you need a reminder of the futility of war then visit this commanding memorial. From the top there are vistas of the mountains where tremendous battles were fought until the war ended in1918

The Sacrario is magnificently sited and rivals may of the war shrines in big cities anywhere in the world. Inside it's a combination of museum and shrine. It's a reminder that the Italian people paid a huge price for the involvement they were forced into, as so often, by politics. The museum has photos, maps and hardware. It was good to be greeted by two Alpini at the foot of the memorial.
