This is a lovely, clean beach. Ideal for all the family. It has great bars and restaurants, lovely wooden walkways, everything you need in fact.

We have been coming to Calahonda for the past seven years and thoroughly enjoy it. Generally we eat at the Capricho, lovely setting where the food is great and the staff always pleasant and helpful. The So Bar we came across by accident this year. Normally we drive or walk by the bars and shops on the opposite side of... More

The boardwalk makes for easy walking and great view of the beach that stretches for miles it seemed. A walk there is highly recommended! I was there in February so didn´t try a swim *brrr*, but from what I saw there are beach bars and body guard posts.

With just a few gaps to complete, this is a godsend, from La Cala to Puerto Cabapino, we now find that we don't require a hire car, we simply book return airport transfers for £70.00 and walk everywhere, we haven't even needed to hail a cab or hop on a bus. We've been all over the area in a multitude... More

The beach itself is stony but the water is clear and clean and it doesn’t get as busy as some of the other beaches in the area as it seems to be used mostly by locals. Parking can be a bit tricky as can general... More

Nice locality with lots of shops, a supersol supermarket and many restaurants. Worth walking around if in the area.

There is a very pleasant boardwalk for about 5 miles but beware, there is one section where you have to clamber over rocks for about 50 metres if you want to walk the full length of it. Such a shame as it is a great asset.

A lovely stroll along the beach has been made easier by the new board walk. well used throughout the day by walkers, joggers and cyclists. Just a shame it didn't extend further in both directions.
