Mesmerising, breath-taking, amazing, awesome - just some of the words our visitors use when they talk about RSPB Bempton Cliffs. Around a quarter-of-a-million seabirds - including gannets, puffins, kittiwakes and razorbills - flock here in spring and summer to raise their family. Six,safe, cliff top viewpoints give spectacular views of the nesting seabirds and the dramatic coastline. The new Seabird Centre at the heart of the reserve tells the story of the wildlife on the cliffs and why it makes it home here. Three of the viewpoints are fully accessible with a hard surfaced path linking them in a circular route. RSPB Seabird Cruises sail from Bridlington Harbour throughout the season giving visitors an incredible opportunity to see the colony as seabirds swoop and soar all around. In autumn and winter, when mists fall and winds blow, a clifftop walk is a great way to blow away the cobwebs. RSPB Bempton Cliffs - one of the truly unmissable British wildlife spectacles.

We visited here on a windy October day, even if you are not interested in wildlife it is still a great place to walk around. They allow dogs in too as long as they are kept on a lead. We were outside of the main...More

Stunning scenery in October - we were lucky the weather held out although it was rather breezy. Tucked away behind Bempton Village down a very narrow road that has passing points, the car park appeared. Leaving the car we entered the RSPB reception, paid the...More

Spent a great couple of hours at this lovely place, feels like you are on top of the world. Not many birds around but that's what you would expect in Oct however the fantastic views made up for that. It was quite quiet, not many...More

We're hoping there'll be more migrants to interest visitors over the next few weeks - we're keeping our eyes peeled and our amazing volunteers are standing by to help ID them and share their knowledge.

RSPB Bempton is now a very busy place, so if you wish to properly watch the birds, go early before the tourists. There are new viewing platforms and plenty of volunteers to help those who need it. The visitor centre and cafe are wll presented.

After a thoroughly miserable drive up to Yorkshire, the UK weather did its usual thing and gifted us a fantastic sunny evening. We went along to the cliffs after the shop was shut and was pleased to find we could access the paths and see...More

Our interpretation boards are proving really popular. If you visit again, look out for our seasonal chalk board trails which contain lots of fun facts.

After driving many miles to visit Bempton I could not park my car as a large van was parked blocking any chance of getting to the disabled parking area. The walk from the main car park is impossible for most people using a self-propelled wheelchair...More

It's unusual for us to get such a poor review regarding facilities for the less able. We have made huge efforts to make the nature reserve welcoming to those of all abilities. Seven blue badge parking spaces are immediately adjacent to the centre - we...More

Hello - a late response from the cliff tops - dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead. This keeps our ground nesting birds safe and also prevents dogs getting over excited and running towards the cliff edges.

Hello - yes, and the puffins were showing well today. Our daily Puffin Patrols run until 21 July. And that's more or less when the puffins start disappearing from the cliffs. So you need to visit soon. However, please... More
