Far from the crowds. Perhaps only New Zealanders, just a few parents and their kids. Otherwise we had the place to ourselves. Beachcomber spot. Not drop dead beauty category, but a pleasant stroll on the beach.

A stunning beach with a gentle nature walk parallel to the beach for the return journey. Well worth the stop off even if you are not staying . DOC camp recommended if you do want to stop over.

Back for the annual Papatowai Challenge. Beautiful day with a tail wind for the runners. This is a great event and a popular challenge for walkers and runners alike. Well-organised, lots of fun. Wonderful part of the coastline. Quiet, tranquil. Enjoy.

This is a lovely beach to stop by next to for a couple of minutes. After exploring the beach, make sure to continue to the Florence Hill lookout, as the views are absolutely beautiful.
