Lovely Golf Course

Voted most popular in South Africa and I could see why as it was certainly the busiest we have played since being here. Course was lovely but the greens had been sanded and it... read more

Voted most popular in South Africa and I could see why as it was certainly the busiest we have played since being here. Course was lovely but the greens had been sanded and it seemed on the front 9 every one we came to was also being watered, we had to wait on every green for the sprinklers to be... More

The day before we played Clovelly we visited Royal Cape which was very disappointing. We were a little anxious when we drove the 30 minutes from Waterfront to Clovelly. The club is not easy to find. Without GPS I do not think we would have found it. Very friendly, relaxed. Members club. Very different from Arabella, Fancourt, Pezula and te... More

My wife and I were in the Fish Hoek area around lunch time and didn't fancy the hot, noisy, crowded restaurants on the beach - where we had come from - or in the village - which we had passed through - so despite our casual wear we took a flier at Clovelly Country Club. Having played golf there before,... More

They have a lot of water in this time of the year. Fairways are in very good condition with a lot of dark green grass. You can play relaxing because the ball is not on the ground. Good restaurant and half way house.

Our first golf in South Africa and we were not disappointed. Friendly staff and nice club house. The course was very interesting with plenty of water hazards but beautifully laid out.

I am not a golfer , but Clovelly Country Club has a great restaurant , and some good meals . The surroundings are beautiful , and on a sunny day , it is wonderful to sit on the patio and enjoy the stunning view . The waitrons are helpful and obliging. There is also a Sunday lunch buffet - I... More

A traditional style golf course that is well established. Easy to walk especially if you treat yourself to a caddy. Course was in reasonable condition for end of season.

I was staying with friends who are members so I played it 5 or six times, Its a delightfully picturesque mature Golf Course which will fairly challenge all levels of ability. The 4th has in the past was my nemesis but this year I manage to score well on it. As they have their own water the course is in... More

First played twenty years ago and have been back many times since. Very picturesque and so much more character than any of the purpose built resort courses. V friendly too - an absolute gem imho.
