Not as stunning as I hoped. Nice village for a meal, short walk, free parking. Worth seeing if you are going past

Went here with my family on a Monday morning and there was a small walk to the lake but when you got there it was beautiful. Naturally that colour with no chemicals in the lake. Very good experience.

A green pool at the foot of the cliff where a stone age movie was shot. Ursula Andress was suposed to appear. I was not very impressed , but is free and worth a look if you are around why not ? El Glfo is woth a wander though

When you arrive in El Golfo you can believe that the volcano in erupted yesterday. The coast is rugged and jagged, almost lunar like. El Golfo itself is the secret the Lanzarotians like to keep to themselves, its a seafood livers paradise. El Lago Verde, The Green Lake is an awesome spectacle of mother nature. You take a path which... More

Enjoyed by the whole family - although the path could be improved. It's a shame you can no longer get closer to the lake itself but the viewing area is good.

The green lake looks quite spectacular set against the hills and the sea. The viewing point is reached by taking a short walk from the car park. It is worth also going down to the beach when you are there to get pictures of the sea crashing against the rocks. The sand is black as coal. The car park is... More

We had a little one so didn't walk to see the lake. We saw it in the distance but also stopped for lunch in a lovely restaurant on the beach. The town is really quaint & worth an afternoon visit.

Right on the sea front at El Golfo, this is a good, if somewhat expensive fish restaurant. We had a starter of prawns (Gamba de la Santa) @ 16 Euro, 2 x bread rolls at 1 Euro each, fish of the day @ 36 Euro for two (came with canary potatoes), and 2 x cola light at 3 Euro per... More

Worth seeing as quite special but the best part is walking down through the village for a drink and food at La Gamba Loca!
