At this time of the year, HM The Queen and her family enjoy a bit of Norfolk solitude, spending Christmas at Sandringham House. This is not open Her stay, so always check for opening times of the house, grounds and museum, and that goes for summer time as well. This time of year, though, the Park is open to roam,... More

A lovely garden to walk round with many interesting plants. The house is well worth a visit. The surrounding woods are also lovely to walk round with wood carvings dotted along the paths.

I had great time the place was lovely, the garden was great and house was great but at the other house where they keep the cars there was some dead mice outside the yard. I don't mind mice running around but see dead mice near outside the toilet not really nice and there was no staff around to tell them... More

Visited Sandringham house and Gardens they are amazing. You do not expect the gardens to be as they are, a real hidden gem. The house it's self is lovely although not able to see enough of it. However well worth a visit.

We wandered around the perimeter paths and to the cafe before we went into the house. Being late winter a lot of the deciduous trees had not regained their leaves. However there were still quite a few in blossom or bloom. Including the camellias. Some of which were quite stunning. Only a few rooms on the ground floor are open... More

I loved Sandringham, and most of all, how warm and homely it felt. It was if I had literally stepped into a family home only a bit bigger ... and that's exactly what it truly is. There are guides (more like faithful custodians) at every turn and in every room, and they are full of love and enthusiasm for the... More

We visited the Sandringham Estate and started with tea and sandwiches at the cafe. Following this we walked through part of the Estate to the House where we then did the tour. It was very interesting and the guides in every room were especially keen to talk about their room but we were surprised at how small the open part... More

Could have happily spent the whole day here! Got free entry to the gardens with RHS card, so only paid for the house. Although you only see the downstairs, there is much to enjoy: friendly and knowledgeable room stewards with lots of stories about the items on display and life in the big house. The museum was of great interest... More

If you are interested in Queen’s country estate, this should be on your list. Though at the time of our visit, only few rooms were opened to the public. So about half an hour we were out of the building. The ticket price is rather high with this in mind. There is also a museum which houses a range of... More

A really interesting place to visit especially if you enjoy History and information about the Royal family. The volunteers have a great knowledge and the museum was terrific. An excellent day out.
