Well maintained fort. Beautiful location. Can view the sea and towns around. The fort premises is still undergoing lots of maintenance work with respect to greenery and planting trees. Appreciate the security staff that watches over people for safety concerns.

Ts a Fort, by the sea side. Beautiful view, well maintained. Only problem, we went during mid day which was extremely stupid in retrospect. Choose evening hours, esp after 4..the place s hot, n Der r hardly any shades. Considering t opens only after 8,mornings won't b a good time either unless u reach before 9. The view s spectacular,... Its one of the best place to visit if you ever going to Mangalore. Located in border to Kerala this place is extremely beautiful. If you are in Mangalore hire a car and visit this, as it takes almost one full day. There will be some fruits and juice available outside the fort. Also do not forget to carry an... More

When my friends said that on our way to a wedding in Kerala, we will stop at Bekal Fort, it got me all excited. If you grew up in the 90's, listening to AR Rahman then you will automatically associate Bekal Fort to the movie Bombay. The song Tu Hi Re was shot in this fort. We reached at noon... More

Nice, well kept Fort overlooking the Arabian Sea. Not crowded, on our visit with a distinct lack of information about the site. Look up on internet before you visit. Hindu temple in the complex and drinks and limited food available at the car park. Walks available down to the sea and fantastic views of the surrounding area from the top... More

The Bekal fort rises majestically from the sea. make sure you have a couple of hours at hand to do justice to this magnificent piece of architecture. There are many spots for the avid photographer in addition to those shown in the iconic Bollywood song - tu hi re from Mani Rattnam's Bombay. I would say visit it twice, once... More

This is a very well maintained fort. There is a nominal fee for entrance. The inside of the fort is clean and most of it is landscaped. The views from the walls of the sea are just amazing. Must visit attraction of Bekal.
