Very disappointed to visit fish market here. Price is not cheap and seafood is not fresh. So strongly smelly and disgusting fishy, nearly vomit. Sashimi is very low quality. I had been fish market in many places of the world (Taipei, Sydney, Tokyo); they are very high standard. Auckland fish market is the worst. Not worth to visit. This place... More

during our stay at Auckland we spent few lunch breaks at the fish market to enjoy the fresh and cheap sashimi of tuna and salmon ( about 11-13 NZ $ ); and the oysters plate ( 24 NZ $ ). it's open 7/7 from 9 to 6 p.m and it has also a restaurant where you can add hot sides... More

If you want to better understand what you are eating in the restaurant, come and visit the Fish Market. There are so many varieties of fresh seafood on display for purchase (if you have the means to cook them). Each is fully described for taste and cooking. I learned so much about the fish on menus during my visit and... More

This market is worth a visit, the fish selection is incredible & they will fillet to your requirements. The offer better prices than the supermarket & the fish is fresher, in my opinion.

We ordered Snapper and chips for $21.00. The fish was very thin and dry. It did not really taste like fresh snapper. We have eaten here before and been really happy but this time not so good.

I was looking to check this out as i was impressed with Sydneys Fish Market as well as Sandakans Market in Sabah, Malaysia. However this is very much smaller and very well reminded me of the fish section in an ordinary supermarket. If you're nearby then pay a visit. But its nothIng to shout about. Unless you're shopping for fresh... More

We enjoyed a glass of NZ Chardonnay with fish stew and chowder for a grey and cool day. The food was tasty and filling.

My partner and I came by here to see the fish market. It is amazing. You can tell that the fish are fresh. There is another part of this place just across the hall where there is another counter. There they sell smoked items, from salmon to tuna as well as marlin. The price is worth it if you're planning... More
