We made the mistake/Blunder, of visiting this Excellent spot, on a Public Holiday, when half of Auckland seemed to be hiking the trails or relaxing, beside The Falls. Would we visit again? Yes, we would, however, we would Never Visit, on a Public Holiday or A Weekend!!! Be Warned!

A good place for the whole family, day out at open space with water falls at the background, plus walking tracks. Some wanting to swim, others just walking and sitting enjoy the surrounding greenery. At the weekends or public holidays expect a bit crowded and difficult to park, more spacious on the weekdays. Anyway, it is good place and free... More

Hunua Falls is a bit of drive from Auckland city but then again most attractions in Auckland are a drives away. This was so worth it though, walking up the bridge and seeing the falls was a great view. This is the kinda place you need to go for a photo shoot. Walking up closer to the falls was just... More

A short drive away from Auckland City, Huka falls is a great place to take the family and pets out. The falls itself is a 1-minute walk from the carpark and easily accessible. You are able to swim or have a picnic there and there were spots of shade. Otherwise, there were open spots to sit on the ground and... More

Dear Madam/Sir, RE: Hunua Falls near Auckland is a great spot for nature lovers and walkers. The walking path is long and enjoyable and goes around the waterfalls. The waterfalls are a pure joy to watch and very picturesque. It's a photographers delight. Ample car parking and toilet facilities are available. Thank You.

Maybe we are biased as Hunua is our home however the Falls are a piece of paradise; relaxing and beautiful; a great place to have a picnic; go for a walk and take photos. Get away from the city and enjoy nature at its finest.

This set of falls in the Hunua Range Regional Park is a little of the beaten track bit definitely worth it. You can stay here in cabins, walk the trails - there are quite a few or simply just stand and enjoy the view and the soothing sounds. From the Lower Falls parking lot you can access the falls to... This is a great place to stay if you want a place for family gatherings. Cabins were ok, Shared bathroom, toilet and kitchen facilities. Bunks weren't comfortable to sleep on but ok for the our stay there. Showers were a pain as they only went on every 3 mins - worked by push button. If you want a smoke had... More
