The Steveston Museum & Tourism Richmond Visitor Centre are located in a heritage building that was built in 1905 as Steveston’s first bank. The friendly Visitor Centre staff are available to help with suggestions for things to see and do in the area, directions, accommodation referrals and bookings, prepaid attraction tickets (to select attractions), and more. The Tourism Richmond Visitor Centre also has a selection of souvenirs for purchase. While you’re there, explore the Steveston Museum’s exhibits and continue on into the Japanese Fishermen’s Benevolent Society building to learn about the history of the local Japanese-Canadian community.

This is not an attraction of any sort. Its simply an old building that is now used as a postal office and for hocking t-shirts from a locally produced tv show. Don't waste your time. Looking at it from the outside is the best part...More

Went through the history of Steveston with great interest. Many cool artifacts and eye opening facts about not only settlers (Japanese) but also their unfortunate plight during WW2. A great little spot offered at no charge.

I dropped in to ask about the town, etc. Whilst asking about the museum the lady turned and locked the door so I could not enter into it. Guess hospitality has a time and place.

The post office is not open past 5 on weekdays. so I am unable to pick up packages until the weekend, which is a huge annoyance. There are two nearby postal outlets at Seafair Mall and at Super Grocer (only a few hundred yards away)...More
