Peaceful place to rest your soul and pray for world peace. Do not bring your own incense - these are to be purchased there for $3 (set of 3); light incense at the fire pit at the entrance. Pray to each GOD. Inside the main temple you may find Buddhist Monks chanting; here you may give thanks and gratitude -... More

People love going to go to the temple to give their thanks and pray. It's also listed as a tourist site, as a must visit for Richmond visitors. One thing you must realize is that it is a business enterprise, but we still go and make our donations. They have spent lots of money, as they have collected a lot... More

A beautiful personal Zen zone- anyone who visits this reputable spiritual temple would be hard-pressed not to find tranquillity and even a glimpse of heightened spiritual awareness during your strolling. Even if you're not a Buddhist, there are many features to delight your experience, I often come here just for a change of scenery and a short mental break -the... More

Getting here is a bit far (considering there's pretty much no shops or restaurants on this street and it is quite far from skytrain) - we took the bus from brighouse and it was about a 25 minute ride. However the temple itself was beautiful. Coming from China I have to say although this is quite a new temple it... More

Wow, so much detail and culture. There were some signs, but wish there were more as I wanted it to be a learning experience for me.

Went to the temple on a Saturday and glad we stopped by. Beautiful grounds and statues and really enjoyed the visit as I have never been to a Buddhist temple before. Beautiful architecture and Buddha statues and enjoyed the aroma of incense everywhere.

My husband and I stopped by and toured the Buddhist temple on our way through Richmond. The staff are very welcoming and it was a very lovely temple. Most of what you can see is outdoors so I suggest you go on a day that is not raining

The Buddhist Temple in Steveston/Richmond is an impressive building complex. I have been passing it occasionally, but I never have had the time to go inside. Finally, few weeks ago I visited that place with my friend. I always like the calm environment of a temple to relax and to meditate. They also offered free meals, but I felt not... More

Spotted the temple on my drive to Steveston Village and decided to check it out on the way back. Best decision of the day. The grounds are beautiful. The temple buildings are stunning and what is inside the buildings...beyond imagination. The figures that have been constructed are breath taking. To be somewhere in this age that is obviously so loved... More
