I try to visit the International Buddhist Temple on every trip to Vancouver. The wonderfully kept garden and pond is a great place to reflect and relax. While the walk through the temple certainly grounds one's perspective, brings about the meaning of life as a...More

One of two temples. Come and steep yourself in culture, education and enlightenment. Stay for the food, and talk with the monks! Really amazing!

Visited with my 7 year old son who was interested in learning about the temple and Buddhism. The grounds are beautiful and there is plenty of signage in English explaining the various places to worship. The volunteers were very welcoming of my son and his...More

The place has a wonderful garden, where you can sit and admire the building. Entering the yard of the temple, you can see the statues and interesting wall plates, about General Guan, a buddhist hero. Inside the temple, we got explanations about the coming holiday.

This is a beautiful temple and a peaceful one. I am not a Buddhist, so can't comment on the spiritual and religious aspect. The temple offers meditation on Saturdays (I think), which would be more interesting to me. I guess it's a nice place to...More

The temple is a beautiful place to go to, as long as you stay away from the restaurant. We read so many positive reviews on the restaurant's vegeterian menu and on the fact you can have a nice meal on donation, so we decided to...More
