We dropped by Lonsdale Quay on the way back to Vancouver after some sightseeing in the north Van area. LQ is a pleasant combination of indoor and outdoor spaces with independent vendors and food stalls mixed with some more conventional brick and mortar businesses (like the brewery/pub). Not as large or diverse as Granville Island, but overall, very pleasant and... More

Awesome spot to visit with young kids- they have a ball pit, a toy store with a little train table to play with, a couple coin rides, and lots of vendors to explore. We usually spend about an hour here, have some yummy treats, and then wander outside to the dock, boardwalk, and little playground nearby :)

I have been living in north Vancouver for over ten years and I never get tired of coming to the lonsdale quay. Lots to do lots of great food. Beautiful scenery looking over to downtown Vancouver. Catch the seabus from downtown Vancouver across the harbour. $4 on way tickets are good for a few hours.

This market is just average and although a lot of people recommend coming here, the only reason to do that is to enjoy the boat ride and the views from the opposite side of downtown Vancouver. The market itself is rather run down and has very unappealing shops. If you really want to visit just one market while visiting Vancouver,... More

We stopped in at the market after a hike at Lynn Canyon. Really enjoyed walking through the stalls- wine, gifts, delicious food. Fantastic way to kill an hour or several. The location is easy to get to by ferry from the Vancouver waterfront and worth the 12 minute trip.

I'd heard that the Lonsdale Quay Market was a must see sight. Hmm? It's okay but I wouldn't classify it as a must see. Sure part of the charm of Vancouver is the variety of neighborhoods. But the neighborhoods such as West End and Yaletown have personality. Lonsdale feels a bit like a market that used to be a good... More

Good Market with many choices. Go for some food including fresh fish, baking, crafts, or go for a massage, or browse around at the many other shops and services. Nice view of Vancouver just outside the market. A good place to spend some time. Take the Sea Bus from Vancouver to North Vancouver to enjoy this market.

Great place for a Sunday. The views are great! The market itself seemed to have good food, coffee, and drink places. Easy to get to through sea bus, which I believe arrives every 10 minutes. We stopped here on the way from the suspension bridge.

We got the SeaBus over from Vancouver for a quick look round. Maybe it just wasn't our kind of market, but it was fairly small and nothing too special on display. Granville Island Market leaves it standing as a tourist attraction.
