The hike is an amazing experience. If you go there the forst time, it's very hard. But on the top you will have a beautiful view to Vancouver. For going down you have to take the gondola.

Seeing vancouver from up above. Breathtaking. Be sure to head to the top and end enjoy some winter activities. (Ice skating, snow shoeing, skiing, sleigh ride) Even drop into the cinema and learn about the grouse mountain family. Two beautiful rescued bears <3

Hike up. Gondola down. Cheaper and faster than the tram lineups. And a GREAT workout! At least do it once.

The Grouse Grind is a difficult 1.5 mile hike that ascends 2000+ feet. It is slippery and wet--at least when we went there-- and somewhat crowded. It will take you longer than you think and you will be passed by people half your age while...More

Here's why it's soooo popular.Apparently it's like an 80s discotheque in the summer. Lots of spandex, fit bodies, and mindless behavior. But, it will challenge you physically like absolutely nothing else you will ever do voluntarily. At the point where you think"this is nuts, it...More

A great challenge for the very fit, and a great way to blend in with the locals. Beautiful , but tough, especially in winter. It can get icy in patches, especially at the top, so crampons are recommended. I agree with another reviewer that it's...More

We are a relatively fit couple and it took us about an hour to do the grind. Signposting from the bus stop could have been better. The advice is in the title - “grind”, be prepared with trainers and some water/snacks. Once you’re at the...More

Take ur time and enjoy the hike. I did it as fast as I could. U can do it! But definitely take water. And buy a t-shirt at the top - gives the specifics -3000 steps, etc. Have fun!
