You don't have to be a skier to visit here and we were interested to watch people training for the Biathlon in September with no snow. Cross country skiing on roller blades and practicing shooting in the range. The facilities looked excellent.

Memories of the 1988 Olympics. Great for hikes, tobogganing, and cross country skiing. Beautiful views as you are in the middle of the Rocky Mountains

The drive up is beautiful. Fabulous facility for cross country skiing and toboganning. The tobogan hill is good for small children. Gradual slope. They have a rental facility and give lessons for skiing.

Was absolutely spectacular. The view was astonishing. The locals were friendly. Even informative. Couldn't have asked for a better venue.

Went to the Nordic Center Provincial Park a few times this summer / fall, and it never disappoints, always beautiful! So many trails to chose, from easy to very difficult that you can run, hike or bike your way through. I'll have to come back...More

We visited in late September and the Aspens and fall foliage were spectacular. The trails were marked a lot, but not very well. They could improve the clarity of the trail markings. We don't mind sharing trails with mountain bicyclists, but they might consider reserving...More

We lived in Canmore for several months and found ourselves returning to the Nordic Center time and again. This is the go-to place to experience Canadian mountain culture. Enjoy easy & more difficult hiking? Go here. Looking to experience mountain biking on easy and challenging...More

We tripped across the Centre and were very happy to find a biathlon competition underway. There were teenagers, ladies, and young male groups "skiing" the loops and shooting at the targets. It was actually terrifically enjoyable to watch all this action while contemplating what it...More

Very bad signage for the walks we wanted to do. There were a few groups of people wandering around because the signs for nearby walks were unclear

We had a blast going out with Gaby for a few hours of mountain biking. She was a brilliant guide, catering for the different levels and confidence of each family member. My boys said that this was one of the highlights of their whole trip...More

It's pretty safe to have snow in the Rockies in March. In addition, they make artificial snow for the trails for cross country skiing if it should ever not snow. I have lived in Canmore for 20 years. And so far, there has... More

The trails marked Green are kid friendly. Some of the Green paths are paved and mostly flat. You will find maps inside the visitor centre.
