This is the hike we have to do each time we visit canmore. It’s always beautiful no matter which season we visit. Highly recommend it! My kids have been able to do this hike quite easily from about age 3-4 on their own.

Well maintained and scenic trails. Ski rentals, and even lessons, are available. There is lodge at the "base" serving food and coffees.

This is a great location to XC Ski if you like beautiful views, immaculately maintained trails, and all amenities you would need for a day xc skiing. Price is reasonable for the care put into the trails and centre. Highly recommend a visit.

We came up to Canmore principally to go alpine skiing but on a day when the weather was windy and boosted by what we had seen at the olympics, we felt it might be useful to learn how to cross country ski. The booking was...More

It's pretty safe to have snow in the Rockies in March. In addition, they make artificial snow for the trails for cross country skiing if it should ever not snow. I have lived in Canmore for 20 years. And so far, there has... More

The trails marked Green are kid friendly. Some of the Green paths are paved and mostly flat. You will find maps inside the visitor centre.
