We took the more difficult path on the way up and the easy one on the way down. The more difficult path was absolutely amazing in terms of views! It certainly was challenging at points (not too bad at first, but then steeper!), especially with...More

Fun little hike with some great views. The easy route is mostly a gravel path/road (kind of stroller friendly) with an uphill walk in and back down the same path. If you are fairly fit, I recommend the more difficult route which includes better views...More

This is a relatively short hike although the steady uphill nature may be a grind for some folks. Nice views of the valley and range across the valley and two lovely lakes at the top. The crowds on the weekends are insane though - go...More

This was my second time here and it was back in April. Because there was the possibility of ice falling, the 'hard' trail was closed but I found the 'easy' trail to be much harder as it is consistently going up whereas the hard trail...More

We hiked up to Grassi Lake. It took us just under 2 hours. It was an easy hike with a waterfall along the way if you take the harder path. Be sure to hike up to the second lake which is right there.

We took the difficult path up, and it was a challenge for myself being out of shape, but nothing too hard to handle. Easy path is much more straight forward. The view at the top was worth it. Clear water (understatement), beautiful trees, trickling waterways...More

Not an easy hike but it was well worth it. Beautiful waterfalls and an emerald green lake at the top but you must keep climbing to get there! Well worth with!

It was a steady uphill climb for 45 minutes, but it wasn't too steep or overwhelming. We really loved the unique grassi lakes (perfect reflection pictures) and the view over Canmore.

There are several different paths to get up there. The harder one is still pretty easy and the views are amazing. Awesome waterfall on the way and great views of town. Kind of busy at the top but still beautiful.

Not sure what the easy route entails, we too the more difficult which included views of the lake bellow and over the town of Canmore as well as a very picturesque waterfall on the side of the mountain. When we got to the lakes it...More

I noticed there was a sign saying not to swim in it. I did stick my hand in the water and it's pretty cold. Maybe they just want the lake free of people?

Can a tour bus get up to the Lakes? I am bringing a choir and we sing a song about Grassi Lakes and we want the singers to visit the site but I am not sure if a highway coach can get in there in April or at all?

Sorry to catch this so late. A tour bus could only make it to the parking lot. Hiking to the lake can only be done on foot . You could push a stroller or wheelchair up to the lake on the easy route but because of the... More
