Easy to hike. Great for everyone. You can either go on the wide path or the more challenging but more scenic side trail. It's only something like 4k round trip. I've done this hike with 2 year olds and 70 year olds. Lots to explore at the top too including cave writings.

This is a fairly easy hike near the Nordic Centre in Canmore. The views are stunning and if you go the "Dfficult" way, you will see a lovely waterfall. The lakes themselves you have to see to believe! Pictures cannot do them justice. They are crystal clear and a beautiful turquoise in colour. We ourselves like to bring our dogs... More

Just breathtaking, we took a mini roadtrip passing by Grassi Lakes and Spray lakes and it was like a postcard all the way, really strong winds though.

Wonderful views of Canmore, good paths (we went through the woods), and once you reach the lakes its well worth the uphill climb! We were lucky not to have crowds of people I think we went on a Monday and early. The car park was full when we left.

I don't visit this trail often. When I do it has to be early to avoid the tourist. It's a pretty easy trail and easy for my 5 year old.

When beginning your hike up to grassi lakes you can choose to go into the trees or a wide cleared road. We recommend going through the grassy trails through the trees on sunny days where you will have plenty of shade and come in contact with some little springs of water that the falls have create (at the upper portion... This trail was really easy to manage and the lakes are gorgeous! There are easy and difficult portions of the trail and you can choose which one to take. The lakes are small and they are a wonderful blue colour. There are many benches and neat sections that reminded me of a Japanese garden. There is even a cave you... More

This a good little hike . There are 2 ways to get to the lakes; take the easier fire road or take the high stepping trail. The trail offers way better opportunities. Flowers galore in the spring and early summer. Lots of families with young kids enjoy this hike
