Lovely venue!

I have been at the Concert Hall at Cobourg's Victoria Hall only a couple of times, but I have found it to be a really nice place for an event!

I recently attended a wedding held in the old courtroom inside of Victoria Hall. What an incredible venue with its unparallelled architecture and beautifully kept interior. I understand originally that Cobourg was considered for a capital city and thus a grand Townhall was built. While I was there I also visited the Art Gallery of Northumberland located on the third... Victoria Hall is a beautiful historical stone building built in 1860.....one of the finest City Halls in all of Canada. This grandiose structure was constructed with hopes that Cobourg would become the capital of Ontario. Its old concert hall has good acoustics in a very intimate setting...take in a concert if you can. Victoria Hall is a must see when... More

This beautifully restored heritage building hosts many concerts and plays. Acoustics are very good. The concert hall is on the second floor. An elevator is available.

Victoria Hall was designed by architect Kivas Tully in 1856 and was opened by the Prince of Wales. This civic building which cost the town around $100000, a staggering sum in the mid 19th Century, is an example of the British Neo-Palladian style and is finished in Cleveland sandstone. The elegant town hall contains administrative offices, a courthouse in the... More

First visit to the Concert Hall at Victoria Hall. Second floor walk up but elevators also available. Historic building. We had row E and were third row from the front, close to the orchestra. Floor seating was ok, further back the seats were padded, but we had a great view. During intermission a brown bat was flying around the theatre... More

Well worth a look if you're in Cobourg. A a wonderful original court room and theatre. It was built when Cobourg was thought to become a major city in Ontario.

Has a good country and Western band 4 Sundays a year. The room is small and cramped. Seating is tight and uncomfortable. Level floors, so watch where you sit. However if you like old buildings and can last a few hours on a card table type chair, then, make sure you really appreciate the show.choic

Went on the downtown ghost tour, led by two incredible Victorian nobles. The tour was so much fun, and very creative. Also visiting the humane-society fundraising comedy show, featuring Mike McDonald. A great cause and great comedy!
