Unfortunately they were working on the gift shop while we were there so we weren't able to see that. They have lots of parking, and climbing up to the bottom of the lighthouse wasn't hard. Several plaques in place to explain tides, storms, and stories...More

We enjoyed the period photos of the light house and the keepers who were featured in the history on the walls of the keepers house. The striking design of the lighthouse was unique but the rock formations and the seashore were beautiful and very photogenic.

Beautiful location & a historic setting. The Lighthouse has an interesting history that is told within the small but well run museum. The walk around the cape takes you to great places to explore if you have children. Parking is free and the restaurant beside...More

Striking lighthouse on a beautiful rocky point. Love the flowers and the waves on the rocks. Quaint gift shop and a giant lawn chair with web cam. The folks back home can see you there.

It is a lovely drive from the centre of Yarmouth to the lighthouse. This time I found some beaches along the way that I could easily swim at. I have never gotten close to it before, and only stayed in the parking lot below but...More

Thank you. In addition, we have golf carts that will take people up the hill as well. There is a phone number posted at the bottom to call for assistance.

Beautiful old lighthouse structure, nice walking paths and view of the ocean. Currently working on the Museum but it was open as was the gift shop. Very enjoyable.

The lightstation and surroundings are immaculately kept and the view all around is simply astounding. Walk around up top near the lightstation and take pictures on the giant chair, and of the sea and horizon from the lookout point up top -- there is a...More

We have been here numerous times and it's just beautiful. Aim for a sunny day if possible. It's a quick stop, but there is a simple walking trail, amazing views and a new Keepers Kitchen for soup, snacks and sandwiches. Delish. You should make the...More

This light house is out on a point and in winter is gets just covered in ice. It is no longer manned. There is a very small museum (display) in the lower level including some old lamps.More

Thanks for the review! Unfortunately is appears as though you didn't see the 2nd floor of the museum. We are still in the process of updating but have some wonderful artifacts upstairs. We also have a new display in the fog alarm building. Hope you...More

I'm almost hesitant to share how wonderful this spot is for fear of it being inundated with people the way Peggy's Cove is. We spent several days in the Yarmouth to Digby area and Cape Forchu was a highlight! It was not very busy and...More
