My wife and I spent a Sunday afternoon in mid-September doing a walking tour of Yarmouth including Frost Park. I wish I could say "pleasant" because the weather was delightful, but we were driven from Main Street and Frost Park in Yarmouth by a screeching cacophony of distorted rock music blasting from cheap speakers permanently affixed to buildings along Main Street. Wow. It was awful.

I am a baby boomer. I love rock music - it's my music. But this was not music, it was dreadful noise. In fact, my wife and I recalled how the US military used loud rap music to "torture" captured terrorists in Afganistan. We had no difficulty in understanding why that military methodology was so successful in getting prisoners to talk.

While the Rolling Stones are great on a good stereo or earbuds, they sounded like a pack of cats being tortured over those boom-box speakers. The constant distraction of this horrible noise drove us off main street, to our car, and on to walk around and spend money in **quiet** Shelburne.

If this "marketing gimmick" was approved by the town council, we think they may wish to re-think that strategy and consider who they are driving away: affluent tourists with money to spend.

Yarmouth and Frost Park will always live in our minds as the city broadcasting distorted screeching and wailing.

Frost Park was the oldest graveyard in the Town of Yarmouth, NS (my 4x great grandparents are buried there), but these days with the fountain and the lights at night, the park is more a festive meeting place. Overlooking the harbour and across the street from the Grand Hotel, Frost Park is an attractive place to sit and take in the local sights.

What a lovely surprise Frost Park was! A beautiful area with lots of benches to sit and relax. Well maintained, beautiful flowers, and lots of history. Surprising it is a grave yard too! It is a little gem.

Very nice park in the middle of town. I am a fan of green spaces and this one is very nice with a fountain, flowers, shrubs, etc. Well kept.. many birds hang out there. Saw house sparrows and song sparrows on our last visit. Geocaches are hidden there and the monuments are always nice to learn about our history, we enjoy walking the park and waterfront in the morning. It is quiet and makes for a lovely walk.

A walk in the park ... refreshing. Art - sculptures, commemorative walls ... nice way to chill & learn more about the town.

We saw the park and decided to stop in for a visit. It is well kept and pretty, but other than one plaque we weren't sure why it was considered to be such a main attraction. Later in the day we stopped at the Sweeney Fisheries Museum and the woman working there gave us the history of the park. We wish we would have gone to see her first. It would be nice if the city posted the history of the park for people like us that wander into the park. I would recommend researching the history of it before you visit it to appreciate it more.
