Before I had to go to the archives, I never gave this place a second thought. Well, I was pleasently surprised with how large, and how much it had to offer. If you want to spend an hour at a 1st class historical museum, this is your place

If you are wanting to trace your family heritage, this is a good place to do it. Extensive archives. The displays feature Debert army camp, and history of Truro area. We were hoping for more artifacts, but the enlarged old photographs were good.

This is a wonderful spot. The exhibits are excellent and cover so many interesting aspects of the history. Also, the second floor is an excellent place for family genealogy if you have family in Colechester county.

Some nice exhibits and a very friendly staff. If you are connected to the area make sure you go to the archive. The staff there are a wealth of knowledge about the history of the area.

What a great place to visit if you are interested in local history. Lots of nice displays that are changed from time to time, and usually a book sale in the basement. Very nice to visit for tea in the garden during the summer!

This museum has SO much to share! There is a lot of history in Truro, but also in the surrounding districts. People doing architectural or genealogical research have come here with much success. The museum also has its share of resident ghosts. A local group of paranormal investigators has done investigations at the museum and gathered a lot of scientific... More
